Groups A, G, and C look pretty tough. US is playing 9, 28, 33 in terms of rank.

Happy Argentina got an easy group. Just have to deal with Greece.

    This is awesome! :p

Mother Country vs. Independent nation! Teams can curse at each other in the same language...

    PORTUGAL vs. BRAZIL
    ENGLAND vs. USA
SPAIN vs. CHILE, HONDURAS vs. SPAIN

    Any more?

This is nearly as good a draw as we could have hoped for, I am excited....

The USA has a decent shot.....no group of death.....but we need some health from some of our injured players...

Group C doesn't look that bad. Algeria is a gimme compared to the other countries in that pot.

Fifa rankings don't mean schite. Think ESPN Power Rankings.

Kidding me? This group is a tossup. This is probably the toughest/evenly matched group to predict with any two teams coming out.

AH, crap. I hope ARGENTINA ends up in the same position as Mexico so we don't play them again in the second round... just like 3 years ago...

I wonder if there are any more potential REmatches!?

Argentina will take one of the two spots. The other spot can go to any of Nigeria, South Korea, or Greece. There are definitely no gimmes in that group.

Group D looks tough at second look. Germany/Australia/Serbia/Ghana

Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece
USA '94 Group D: Argentina, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Greece

It's deja vu all over again.

And Nigeria fans are still bitter over what happened that year -- what happened in the Nigeria-Argentina match in '94 was the equivalent of Rockets-Mavericks game 5 in the 2005 playoffs.

Im Algerian and I know pretty much everything about algerian soccer so feel free to ask me any question concerning Algeria.

I think England, USA, ALgeria and SLovenia is a rather open group. England has alot of talented players but always have problem to perform when it count the most.

USA did a great performance in the confederations cup

Algeria is not a team you should underestimate 70 % of the national team player playes in the big leauges in europe. Club team Esperance Setif is currently playing the African champions leauge finals and they will also play the nort african club leauge finals!

Slovenia won over Russia and Slovenia has a solid team!

You'd think Argentina would be an automatic lock to advance but I don't think it's a gimme. I think any combo from that group could advance and I wouldn't be shocked.

They got an easier draw when they could have been creamed because they were not seeded.

I am not saying Mexico sucks....I am saying France could have been in another group with 2 quality teams...

They are the class of their group.......they got lucky.

As for the USA's group, I doubt any of the teams are dissappointed, they all have a shot....Algeria, Slovenia, UK, USA.....any of the 4 could advance...only the UK is a clear favorite to get through.

WTF? Really? CLASS? Where? I really gotta HAND it to you, sir...
Still went to the 2nd round. That was a very potent team. I remember your goalkeeper... he was awesome... Peter Rufai!
