Gotta love it. LOVE IT (in my best Keegan voice).

I have to admit though I didn't think Ade was going to be the winning goal scorer. I though it was going to be Baptista when he was one on one with Rio back. Obviously I'm not a big ManU fan but personally I think its great to see Ole Gunnar back after his terrible injury filled last couple of years. He almost equalized if it weren't for a great save by mad jens. Hopefully this is the start of a little better form for Arsenal. They haven't been playing bad but seemed unable to grind out a win like this.

My daughter's birthday is coming up and she wants an Arsenal jersey. Anyone know a good place to find one online that's reliable?

Fantastic game between Man-U and Arsenal, even though my team lost. Rooney doesn't look fit at all, memories of Ronaldo in the WC, lots of standing around and losing the ball. It will probably take him 2 or 3 more games to get back.

Must be nice to be T. Woods...at the US Open finals last Sunday, and then Watching Liverpool vs Chelsea this Sunday. That was a sweet goal by Drogba, and a really weak red card for Ballack; yellow at worse. Chelsea is a disgrace, the type of talent they have and they play ugly ball.

Ballack apologized to Sisoko after the game and more or less admiteed it was intentional, I don't think he thought it was a bad red.

It's four in the morning over here.. but I never miss a Liverpool game

    Half-time score: Liverpool 1-0 Newcastle

Kuyt gets off the mark! Simple tap-in after a magnificent through ball by Alonso to Finnan, who puts it neatly into the six-yard box for the blonde bomber. Liverpool have dominated without playing their best football - the Magpies just aren't putting up much of a fight. We've gone the last three games without scoring, so.. I WANT MORE GOALS in the second half :p

    Full-time score: Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle

Only one thing to talk about  Forget Rivaldo scoring from the half-way line. Forget Beckham scoring from the half-way line. Xabi Alonso dispossesses a Newcastle player inside the Liverpool half, takes a moment to assess the situation, then unleashes a shot from just outside the centre circle - Steve Harper scrambles backwards so rapidly that he loses his footing, gets a palm to it, but can't stop it going in anyway. Kuyt's goal (created by Alonso as well, don't forget) almost seems like a footnote to this piece of footballing history. Amazing!!

X marks the spot (as accurately as I can remember). Harper's goal is on the right. What is it.. 60, 70 yards??

That goal was pretty good, but not amazing - the keeper would've easily had it if he hadn't slipped.

Now, this is the wonder-goal of the season (thus far):

Not after stumbling over his own feet! Did I read somewhere that Given had a life threatening injury?

What games are you guys looking forward to this weekend after last weekend's blockbusters? Arsenal is on FSC on Saturday but not sure about the rest of the weekend.

I liked this one from last week. The keeper doesn't slip, isn't out of position or rooted to the ground - but the shot still goes in.

Saturday's games look pretty weak, but Newcastle-Everton on Sunday should be good.

Harper was backpedalling at full speed - if he hadn't slipped he wouldn't have been moving backwards nearly fast enough. And if you watch the clip carefully, he slipped very late.. practically inside his six-yard box. And he still couldn't get there

Drogba's goal a "wonder-goal"?? Some of you fellas really need an education in spectacular goals. No better team than Liverpool to give you that:

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1VVpRE6aI9U"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1VVpRE6aI9U" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2JY8yFvtXO0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2JY8yFvtXO0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

And that's just this season. A season that's less than 10 games old  Plus, Gerrard isn't even off the mark yet. If you don't know why I brought him up, here's why:

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SWzQn-FpEOU"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SWzQn-FpEOU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

HOWEVER, it must be said, Liverpool have been rather useless at scoring the simple goals this season :p

Regardless of the keeper falling it was still a sweet shot, given the direction and placement of it from that distance.

Hal you forgot what is undoubtedly my favorite Gerrard highlight of all time:

    Haha, I remember that :D

For a split second I thought you were going to bring up this goal, though:

I'm happy kuyt scored for Liverpool. He is such a great player. Feyenoord is still strugling without him.

Univac hal what do you think of him so far. Do you think he will be an upgrade over Crouch?

Class player all around, but - as you pointed out - not an instinctive, out-and-out goalscorer. Although he'll still get lots of goals (I hope) because he's such an intelligent player. He's made a great start for now, but needs to sharpen up even further and get used to the pace of the English game. Definitely an upgrade over Crouch.. who, to be honest, was brought in as a back-up striker in the first place. Have you been watching any Liverpool matches so far?

I like Feyenoord. They sold us Dudek and now Kuyt :D :p

I think that Kuyt is good in adapting to a new pace and new standarts. When he can from Utrecht he adjusted very fast, faster then we (feyenoor d axpected). So i think he will do wel in adapting. I have been able to watch some liverpool games, but they usually broadcast the english games at times that i cannot watch. (the premier league is broadcasted in a different program then all the other soccer competitions). But i watc as often as i can, because i like the premier league the best of all the foreign competitions.
