    univac hal enjoy Kuyt:D.

We (Feyenoord) lost eh first competition game with 3-0 :( . We are nothing without Kuyt(or another good striker).

Another three points for Man United today. Giggs looks like he's back to his best and it's been a joy to watch him so far this season. Too bad Rio broke his toe today, that means we'll be without Rio, Rooney, Scholes, Heinze, Vidic and a few others for the Spurs match in a few weeks. At least we get Rooney and Scholes back for Arsenal. Thank God we've taken all nine points considering our injuries and suspensions early on. Still top of the table...

Just got back from England today. I saw Newcastle beat Wigan 2-1 and then on Tuesday I saw Spurs beat Sheff. United 2-0. The Newcastle game was great, they create an awesome atmosphere. Well just wanted to brag that I was able to go to my first and second premiership games this week.

    Lucky!

Looks like Man U is going after David Trezegue - LINK.
I don't think they need to go after another striker but I guess it never hurts.

Roy Keane has become manager of Sunderland - LINK. Good to see him back in the EPL, hopefully he will be successful and can someday replace Ferguson.

Too bad Sunderland is at the bottom of the Championship, not the Premiership.

I know it is in the Championship but you gotta start somewhere. Ferguson started managing clubs in the 2nd and 3rd division of the Scottish premiere league. I am not saying Keane will be as successful, but if he can be half as successful as a manager as he was a player, then he should be proud. He was a leader on the field and the type of player every team needs.

OK. International fixtures are finally out of the way - what an utter waste of time, I say. Now we can get on with the season..

Biggest match this weekend is the Merseyside derby, which kicks off in less than two hours. I'll be posting updates for any American Reds on here, as a new-look Liverpool side takes on the auld enemy at Goodison Park. (If any of you are even awake, that is.. I just need an outlet for my excitement :D) And if Kuyt makes himself a hero on his derby debut, I will personally give arno_ed a big sloppy Internet kiss

Man U are also taking on Spurs later.. should be interesting to see how long their hot start lasts

    Half-time score: Everton 2-0 Liverpool

Fowler and Crouch start, Kuyt on the bench.. no sign of Bellamy. Liverpool find themselves being pushed around by the thuggery (sorry, physicality) of the Everton players. Cahill finishes from close range with no one near him, after Osman practically bundles Finnan over in the box - no whistle. Second goal comes shortly after a foul by Cahill on Alonso, with Carragher and Hyypia getting in each other's way to allow Johnson a well-placed finish at Reina's near post. Again, no whistle. Disappointing, sluggish performance by Liverpool so far.. Everton are worth their lead, although it pains me to say it

    Full-time score: Everton 3-0 Liverpool

I can't remember the last time the blue****e put three past us :( Just one of those days everything seems to go wrong: Gerrard hits the post twice, Hibbert clearly handles in the area but no penalty, Riise comes back after a three-week layoff and injures the same bloody ankle within minutes  Even Aurelio manages to get smacked in the face twice by clearances from his own teammates. Ahh **** it

You are so lucky. I really hope Kuyt will do good. He is a great player who really wanted to play for Liverpool. Go Liverpool.

(and feyenoord who haven't scored in two games, bought the always dangerous striker Charisteas, Who used to be the fourth striker of the competition Ajax :( ).

We didn't look good, but Man United just continued their perfect start with a 1-0 win against Tottenham. Four games, twelve point, and we're still top of the table (not to mention 8 points up on Liverpooh and 10 points on the Gunners, although they both have a game in hand).

Yeah, it became an ugly game after the goal. Man-u didn't play creatively at all, Tottenham pressured but it wasn't enough. Can't wait for Champions League game midweek vs Celtic. Rooney will be back just in time for that and the clash against the Gunners. M. Carrick played ok, i thought Ronaldo, Giggs and W. brown were the standouts for Utd. Saha is good and quick but lacks that nack for the goal. Richardson was non-existent...man I miss Ruud :( but 12 points is 12 points and tops of the table makes it feel better.

Two titanic clashes this Sunday: Liverpool at Chelsea and Arsenal at Man U. First match kicks off now, updates at half-time!

    Half-time score: Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Frankly, a tight and even match so far. Only a fantastic goal by Drogba separates the sides - the kind he won't be able to replicate in a hundred tries :p Received the ball on the edge of the area, held it up from Carragher, then swivelled and hit an unstoppable shot past Reina, who didn't even move. Hope the Reds squeeze out a draw, but things have to start going our way.. can't keep hitting the woodwork, like Kuyt did earlier

    Full-time score: Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Chelsea went down to 10 men after Ballack was sent off for stomping on Sissoko.. but after that Liverpool were very, very poor. Still early days but they'd better get their attack sorted out soon - right now they can't even break down a Japanese door with a battering ram  Horrible..

    FT: Chelski 1 Pool 0

Drogba, though not a highly prolific goal scorer, or at least as prolific as his transfer fee, seems to have turned into a fairly clutch, reliable guy for Chelski over the years and will deliver a play when they need it, or so it seems to me, right?

I don't know about that. He doesn't have too many class moments (like his goal today), but he's always a big headache to play against with his strength and power. Maureen-O was smart not to let him leave in the summer

I think Jo-say values him even when he's not scoring when he uses him as a bludgeon up front to open up space for Lampard and now Sheva.

That's exactly it. And Drogba always seems to play well against Liverpool, ever since he knocked us out of the UEFA Cup with Marseille

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pour myself a stiff drink.. damn I hate losing against Chelski    The only things I hate more are losing against Everton and Man U. Hope the Gunners really let the scum have it later

Oh yeah, Spurs are off to a **** start as well eh? Nothing new there ;)

    To bad Liverpool lost.

I really do not want chelsea to become champions, but i also dislike Man U. So i do not know if i want Man U to win or loose, because i feel they might be the only team that has a chance of becoming champions besides Chelsea.

univac hal i feel bad for you, I know how you feel, my ducth team Feyenoord is playing terrible this season. :(
