I think Brown has legit RB1 upside this year. He's been quietly breaking a lot of impressive runs off over the past few games. Also - you still need to replace Clay Matthews. Sort by Defensive players, then sort by "Fantasy points" and show us the top players available.
I'd take any starter over a backup RB. If it were a TD only (or very heavily TD-weighted), I'd take Bush, but until the season starts, we really don't know how him and Forte will split carries.
Yep. Assuming tackles have value, you want a guy that is going to get you plenty. Those are good consistent points.
Mike Bush really isn't a great running back, he's just been a sexy upside pick because of McFadden's injury history. His YPC last year was mediocre when compared to McFadden's numbers behind the Raiders line. His true value is his ability to punch in TDs from the 1 yard line. Marion Barber couldn't really do that last year within the Chicago offense, so it will be interesting to see just how much Bush will be integrated into that offense because I believe Cutler is going to want to throw a lot to Marshall, Bennett and promising rookie Alshon Jeffery.
Yahoo doesn't rank defensive players, so you need to sort by "Fan points" its the category that is on the far right. That will tell you who the best players were last year. You can also sort by "All players" instead of "All available players" to see who has already been taken.
Honestly for a majority of my drafts I've taken Brown over Bush, Hillis, Spiller, and others. I agree their is a health risk to Brown. But the same was said about Demarco Murray last year and now he's ranked amont the top 10 according to all the fantasy websites. I'd rather take a chance on a guy with top back potential and a great opportunity than a goal line vulture with a slim chance to take over full time. He has great hands too, so I think he'll be used in the passing game more often than not.
I was thinking Clay could bounce back with alot of sacks but after reading the points table for def.. .yeah he was probably a bad pick. Picked up Derrick Johnson. must spread the rep around to all that helped me already, thanks!
If tackles are worth any amount of points, you usually want to take an inside LB who will rack them up.
I'd lean towards Marshall and Graham, because Young is still technically not even starting. But that means a hill of beans in Detroit, where no running game is required, mostly because they can't keep one on the field for more than 3 consecutive games.
Note: This is not my team. This belongs to an old co-worker of mine that's in one of my leagues that just finished up a draft this afternoon. It may be the worst draft I've ever seen. Also this is a pay league and the guy has been in it for 4 years, so it's not like he's brand new to fantasy. 9 Maurice Jones-Drew, Jac RB 12 Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR (Only ended up with this decent pick because he "lost track of time while researching" and it auto-picked) 29 Michael Vick, Phi QB 32 Ryan Mathews*, SD RB 49 Texans D/ST D/ST 52 Brandon Lloyd, NE WR 69 Stephen Gostkowski, NE K 72 Tony Gonzalez, Atl TE 89 Kevin Smith, Det RB 92 Michael Crabtree, SF WR 109 Anquan Boldin, Bal WR 112 Mario Manningham, SF WR 129 Matt Cassel, KC QB 132 Giants D/ST D/ST 149 Shayne Graham, Hou K 152 Mike Williams, TB WR
