    3 things:

1: Lehman is costing Arsenal a lot of points, when will he be benched if he continues playing like this?

2: Chelsea got lucky, that was not even close to being a penalty.

3: i'm happy with the spurs.

p.s. SJC, Van der Vaart is not popular anymore, is he?:D I do not understand the way he acts.

As a matter of fact, they have been looking after by "football god" for quite some years. The referee is going to enjoy his career in Champions League for a long long time.

Liverpool got robbed on the penalty, but it was a physical game, and there was definitely flopping on both sides. I can settle for a draw with Chelsea, but it's a game they should've won. Liverpool's offense was much more fluid in the 1st half where Torres was the focal point (his goal was a thing of beauty). Kuyt also had a lot of opportunities, and I was happy with his play. Their midfield play was rather disappointing though. I was very happy to see that Liverpool can offer some versatility on their attack. This should be a good year for Liverpool.

I can't complain about the draw, Blackburn were dominating possession in the 2nd half until Nelsen went out. Still, they're the most loathsome bunch of ***** in the league and I'm surprised we only came away with one serious injury.

It's mental how after two games bookies stopped taking bets on whether Jol would be the first manager sacked. Absolutely insane.

Even though I'm an Arse fan, I don't think Jol should be sacked. He's led Spurs to their best finishes in more than a decade, and he's been playing with a back four that's not even even fit for the USL-2.

I love watching soccer and wactched some of the Arsenal game, but it is just so hard for me to watch (as with most sports) when I don't have a rooting interest. :(

I understand, than just find a team you like, the playing style or the mentality. Most teams have a specific thing.
    for example:
    Liverpool:blue colloured team, and players.
    Chelsea: rich, full of superstars
Arsenal: always play beautifull/ technical soccer.

    etc.

I don't think he should be sacked either. He did very well as manager in his first season, led them to a great finish and was so so close to the CL. Second season not quite as good, but still better than what Spurs fans are used to! He should get a chance this season, with all the new players...

Big Sam has been brilliant for the toon army

Hopefully Owen can get a few more games under his belt and with Martins, Big Dukes & Milner all as options up front with Smith behind things are looking good at Newcastle ;)

How long did it take Smithy to win over the Newcastle fans? I hated seeing him leave Old Trafford, he gives 150% every time he's on the pitch and would run through brick walls for the jersey on his back. He's not the most technically gifted player in the world, but I can't think of anyone who plays the game harder. And that's the way it should be. God, I miss him already.

One of the London Rags (take note, Wall Street Journal - this is your future) has been crowing loud and persistently that - as a reward for the 4-0 spanking of Derby last week, Martin Jol will get the boot from Tottenham as early as this week prior to the Man U game, with an attempt to get the Sevilla manager in his place.

Sounds kind of insane to me and a good way to torpedo a season that has barely begun, hell Spurs have more points than Man U after three games. Apparently their management are idiots.

If Jol gets the boot, he'll only have himself to blame. He's failed to get a keeper to challenge Paul Robinson - who might be one of the worst in the Premiership at this point. He still hasn't gotten a left-sided midfielder. He has no backup on the right for Lennon - so with Lennon out they've no width or creativity in the midfield.

Instead he spent £18M on a third choice striker. Baffling.

And if Juande Ramos is really interested, that's a logical move to make - he's done a superb job at Sevilla and is one of the best managers in Europe.

the rumor that I read was that Bent was not Jol's choice, rather management's choice, and that that was why he didn't start the first game as a protest by Jol against the managers.

Without Dawson & King their defense is basically crap anyway.

Yeah it was a strange game. Drenthe scored his first goal, i'm glad for him, however i do not think he will be a succes. But we will see.

Crap, only if Schmeichel Jr could stand 10 more minutes for Man C...He even saved the penalty kick!

This kid is going to shine in EPL, it's not his fault for that goal. Hope Man C still put him as their starter even the other Italian goalie recovered.

Arghhhhh, even Chelsea won too....

Yahh man he played amazing. But that was a heck of a game, and if Arsenal would have lost I would have been devastated because of the countless opportunities. Also, I think that Jens Lehmann getting injured in the friendly vs. England was the best thing that could have happened for Arsenal, becuase their backup Almunia(sp?) is much better then the slip-up prone Lehmann. The Gunners look promising but honestly will have no chance if either Fabregas or van Persie gets injured.

I am pissed cause I ordered Gol TV and they did not show Real Madrid's game or Barca's but showed other La Liga games stating that there were broadcasting issues in Spain an the games were not produced for television. That's really messed up! They better not do that with the other games.
