Increased pressure on the Tards, Texas being the underdog.... That's the way I like it. Tards have no Parish Cox or Chinsasa. There tackling ain't gonna be as hard as OKST. Our OLinemen outweigh their DLinemen by an average of 50lbs.
I'm not worried. Basically, if Tech couldn't beat UT last year, they're hopeless. Our defense was flat out awful last year including the Tech game. We won because Tech couldn't stop us AND we were able to control the clock. You want the Tech offense on the bench as much as possible, but you don't want to score too fast either. We throw tons of short passes in our games (one reason for Colt's ridiculous efficiency), and let our WRs get YAC to get 1st downs. We're amazing in 3rd down conversions, allowing us to drain some serious clock even with the passing game. Hopefully Fozzy comes back for this, and Oggy and McGee help out McCoy in the run game as well.
Was Andre Ware one of them I'm assuming? I'm not surprised. He's probably a UT hater. Before the season started, he suggested UT would finish FOURTH in the Big 12 SOUTH. He thought A&M would be ahead of us because he was so concerned about our young secondary LOL.
With all due respect, the same thing is said year after year about Tech's offense. The problem is the defense and getting a stop when they need it the most. Tech definitely has one of the best offenses in the country for sure, but almost everyone was saying that no one would be able to stop OU, Mizzou, and Ok. St's offense as well, until they played us of course. Should be a great game though!! Hook Em'
Texas is on a roll and has the momentum. They are coming off 3 BIG wins. Tech won't be easy, but Texas will win.
I doubt Fatty has the time to do any research whatsoever with all of the cold calling he has to do during the day.
He isn't a UT hater from what I've heard him say on the radio. I think he got over that a long time ago. The games on Saturday have influenced a lot of folks to pick Tech. This is Tech's chance to make a statement and people expect them to do it.
Early line is Texas by 6. I'm a little surprised it's that much considering the game's in Lubbock and how well Tech played in their last game.
