Penn St. should not be even in the top 5 BCS rankings, no team from the Big Ten should until they start stepping up their competition.

my sentiments exactly. Just so tough - heart breaking loss. Went from ecstasy to the worst feeling in the world in a matter of a few plays. Do not count Texas out. After seeing LSU back there way into the title game last year there is a way Texas could do it this year.

    Hook 'em.

Screw Tuesday, I haven't looked this forward to the polls in awhile.

I can't wait to see what the voters make of this weekend. (Go Gators)

Its a 2 half game. Coordinators need to adjust faster than the players. Very true the offense put the D at a disadvantage giving a great Tech offense extra possessions. But the 1st half Texas was getting ROCKED back on their heels. Was lucky it was't 35 to 3 at the half.

This sorta happened to me before in a high school game...

last drive of the game dropped TWO STRAIGHT sure ints that could have gave our team a chance to win, one of them I had wide open field in front of me for a run back....the difference was my game was a tied ball game. But it STILL hurts, from a piddly high school game. Can't imagine bumbling the NATIONAL TITLE.

He should get out soon as possible.

Give Tech all the credit in the world. No Texas shot themselves in the foot, Tech was lucky, etc. UT got manhandled from the very beginning and that running play in the back of the endzone which forced the safety started it all, in my opinion.

HOWEVER, I still think UT is a top 3 team and still has the superior talent, probably still the best behind OU in terms of pure talent and athletes. But talent and ability does not always equal a gimme win, and I think UT was likely a little worn out after 3 three consecutive games against ranked opponents.

    But again, props to Tech.

    Next week:
    Dez Bryant vs. Crabtree!

I'm rooting for you guys to completely screw up the BCS so we can get some 4 way tie in the Big 12.

They had it right up until they lost it. 39-33 says Tech is better.

Give credit to tech. They had nearly 200 more yards then Texas. The first half could have been a lot worse. We could never really stop their offense. I just hope OU doesn't leap us since we beat them.

Yes, thats why its called an "upset." Let these two battle it out on pure athletic ability alone and UT will win in a landslide.

I'm not sure what to make of this game. On one hand, Texas should never have been in it. We were completely and totally outplayed basically the entire game. Both Tech lines absolutely dominated. Colt was flustered, and our receivers had serious problems with dropped balls. They hadn't played in a truly hostile environment all season (UTEP and Colorado were only road games), and it showed.

On the flipside, given that somehow Texas WAS in the game despite all that, there were 2 plays inside the 15 yard line where Colt snapped the ball with 20+ seconds remaining. That was just horrible game management. Texas had plenty of time and 2 timeouts - they should have been eating every second of the clock. Tech should never have gotten the ball with more than about 40 seconds left.

I'm sorry. I thought games were settled on the field. Now we are talking about "pure athletic ability"?

Tech settled it, UT had their chance.

    My thoughts exactly...

How far will Penn State fall without playing a game? I'm pretty sure Alabama will be 1, Florida at 2, OU at 3, Penn State at 4, Texas Tech at 5 and Texas at 6? It could look like that

Athetic ability is not what makes a team. Tech had a better scheme - both offensive and defensive - and better execution across the board today. If anything, Texas was lucky the score was as close as it was.

okay so what happens if OSU losses to TT and OU beats TT

that would leave OU, TT, And UT with all one losses.

    who the *** gets in?

I was there..I seriously thought we were done when UT was coming back..but Graham showed his clutch. All the craptalkers (percicles, DPBaller, etc.) can go back to their hole now with their mouth taped.

...Now time to go light a car on fire and do illegal ****.

Penn State won't fall beyond 3 (if Tech jumps them). No way on earth an undefeated JoPa team is going to drop below 1-loss teams. My guess is:

    #1 Alabama
    #2 Penn State
    #3 OU
    #4 Florida
    #5 Tech
    #6 Texas

If Tech can beat OSU and OU the next two weeks, they'll slowly jump up to #2.
