ESPN reported that Mike Leach is not allowing media access to his players. So no interviews with Heisman contender Dark Helmet (Harrell) or Crabtree. Amateur move if you aske me.
Thats because Leach wants all the attention to himself. Remember the Seinfeld where the apartment owner makes fun of Jerry, "oh I am a star, look at me, watch me, love me, love me"? Thats Leach.
Damn you guys need to relax it is no big deal. He wants those guy focus on the task at hand. Once Tech wins this Saturday, I am sure they will voice their opinions. Great move by Leach. Wreck Em Tech!!!
This'll be Tech's first real test of the season against an already battle-tested Longhorns squad. It should be close.. but I can't see the Horns losing to anyone, reallly. UT-41 TTU-35
Looks like the same crew that worked the RRS will work the Tech game. So much for calling holding penalties. I don't want any of our guys to even look at Tech's punter. Link
I am so hyped for this game! The game has been getting huge coverage. The chronicle has had a story related to Texas or Tech everyday this week. I've been checking out the online newspapers in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, etc. College Gameday in Lubbock! Can't wait. Go Tech!
Alright, so I called in this morning, and I can't wait to ridicule Colt McCoy on Monday morning to the "Price is Right" loser song.
Cant wait to get off work. Hopefully I can get to lubbock by 1:30 am to get atleast a few beers It will be interesting to see who takes the heisman lead after this game Harrell or Crabtree?
None of the above. Even if you win this game, the voters still won't reward you for your gimmicky system. UT 45 TTU 27
Well I would agree McCoy is having a better year I wouldn't go as far as saying he is a lot better than Harrell. Both will have big tests tomorrow. Tech's first huge test, Texas first big road test. Still can't wait going to the espn taping later on this afternoon. Fans are fired up, can't imagine what the players are going through for their biggest game of their lives but the University's as well. Tons of pressure but I think we will prevail. I am hoping for a wild windy day tomorrow.
I would have to disagree. Harrell has more passing yards and TD's, but McCoy makes better decisions and is much quicker on his feet. McCoy is completely capable of putting up Harrell-like pass yards if Texas passed as much as Tech. Texas controls the clock and and runs more running plays and have far fewer incompletions. And remember, McCoy is doing what he's been doing with a receiving corp that is not as talented as Tech, OU, OSU, or Mizzou. We don't have a go-to tight end like we did with David Thomas. No doubt Harrell is good, but McCoy is money. Though, this should be an excellent game. Its going to be a shootout, but I don't think the Tech D si good enough to hold down Texas.
