I almost never eat fast food, but every now and again I crave Arby's. I think it's because it makes me think of vaginas.
Moes is the new health advisor on BBS... he'll go crazy if you mention anything of McDonald's food or any other fast food restaurant... I suggest you don't question his authority.
Since Frenchy's opened near my house, I don't eat any other fast food chicken, but KFC over Popeye's? Seriously?
Truth. If Whataburger got marked down because it's a somewhat regional joint, what about In-N-Out Burger? I've never even been to one!
Ugh, Subway. I've gotten food poisoning from there. Twice. On their commericals, they say "Eat fresh" and claim everything's fresh, but as indicated in the OP, the vegetables are not always fresh. Sometimes, it's really quite hard to find one that is. Baking their bread in the store leaves you coming out smelling like their store too (which doesn't exactly smell like fresh-baked bread). Subway? Pfff. If I must get a sub, I get Quiznos (though more expensive). And if I want fresh fast food, I get Chipotle. Chipotle is really the best fast food place out there, IMO.
In-N-Out deserves its spot. I agree their fries are terrible....until I had them Animal Style along with my Animal Style burger. That meal was pure bliss. And I love Whataburger as much as anyone here, but I quite often have to nuke my burger when I get it home for 10-15 seconds. It's just not warm enough. And anyone who chooses Chipotle over Mission Burrito has never been to Mission Burrito. Can't stand Chipotle and don't understand the love it gets, but whatever.
The vegetables ARE fresh. They're cut and prepared one to two times a day, depending on the volume of the store. Subway has 1 - 2 checks a month by field consultants to ensure they are fresh and nothing is outdated. The store(s) you visit must have poor management.
Don't eat much fast food, but there are times when I'm craving White Castle or Arbys so bad I can't think straight until I get some. I also like Five Guys, though I don't go too often. Usually don't bother with Subway unless I'm on the road, there are too many good sandwich places near me. I will say that on the rare occasions that I choose to indulge in a particular intoxicant that can stimulate the appetite, Taco Bell is the greatest thing ever.
I don't get the love for Cold Stone. I think it's gross. Marble Slab on the other hand is pure heaven.
I can't give this thing any credit due to numerous obvious discrepancies in their "awards" and my opinion.
