Breakfast at my house: -Medium rare steak -Two over easy eggs with green skhug -Toasted rye bread with Danish butter -A small chopped salad (tomato, onion, cucumber, parsley, pistachio, lemon juice, a touch of olive oil, sea salt) -A Bloody Mary, extra spicy (with fresh tomato juice, fresh lime, Polish vodka, Tobasco and Worcestershire sauce, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper) -Ended with a double macchiato with a shot of Kahlúa in it and a Red Gaulosies.
Oatmeal on most days. Egg whites and roasted potatoes on some. Don't typically eat breakfast on weekends unless we hit up a brunch spot.
Eggs Bacon Pancakes Hashbrowns I love breakfast. By far my favorite meal of the day. Edit: And buttermilk biscuits.
As far as my food preferences, I would say I'm country as hell. So I would have to go with Sausage Gravy with Biscuits. I'm also lactose intolerant so I gotta stay as far away from dairy as I can. Too bad the best gravy's have tons of milk/cream in them.
Ideally, a cheese omelet with salsa and a bottomless glass of iced coffee. This never happens. I always eat something, but it has to be convenient and quick - cereal or (when at work) a banana or 1/2 wheat bagel with cream cheese. Unfortunately, most of the convenience breakfast foods come with breakfast meats, which I don't really like. Especially sausage. It grosses me out. Bacon (sorry for the sacrilege here) isn't much better, with all its salt and fatty portions. Bean and cheese breakfast tacos are good, though hard to find up here in the Panhandle.
