I tried to make the switch to Diet Vanilla Coke, but the siren call of DP was just too great.

Drewdog, I used to work at Austin's Pizza. Last time I got pizza from the downtown store it wasn't any good. I bet the other stores have better quality though. Some of there places have brick ovens now. Those are awesome.

There is this dressing that they put on salads at this local Japanese place in Baton Rouge that must have crack in it. I'm sitting in a nice resturant and I'm licking the dressing off my fingers as I swipe it from the bowl.

BBQ at the Salt Lick in Driftwood.

I discovered over the weekend that there is a "new" (since May or March... I can't remember which, I was too busy eating) Salt Lick in Westlake that has real linen napkins and tablecloths and padded chairs and is very upscale.

I was shocked. I'm still in a state of shock. The food was superb, as usual. The prices were the same. Have you found it, DaDakota? If you haven't, be sure your heart is in good shape. You won't believe it.

Oh, and my Mother's cooking. Anything she cooks. I'm lucky I live in Austin, because if I lived in Houston you would have to wheel me around in a cart. It's that good.

Thought of something else. Easy's Thai pizza and Blue Bell vanilla malts. Damn, I'm getting hungry!

    Soda?

Are you orginally from up north (or still there)?

You don't hear it called that much down in these here parts.

I Still believe I'm the quintessential fast-food guru, so here's mine:

    Triple-cheeseburger:Burger King
Ultimate Cheeseburger (on sourdough bread):Jack itb
    Crap on a stick:McD
    Foot-long Chili-cheese hot dog:Sonic
    Chicago dog:Coney Island
    popcorn chicken:KFC
    (Limited time fave: Whataburger's Thick'n'hearty)

Locally, those are my fast-food picks, but William's BBQ ribs and Bellaire Broiler BBQ burgers are mine, as well as many, many others.
