There are still Double Dave's in Houston. I know there was one on Westheimer (not sure if it still is) and another right down the road from me on 529 a little past Hwy 6, I used to work there a few years back during high school

They burned down in 2002 I think, and never re-built.

Surely others remember this. It was a big deal because it was right there on 610/Westheimer.

Luthers Bbq. Their chili burgers were awesome. I don't actually remember their BBQ.

There's a Double Daves on 6 at Dulles.

Been to that one a couple of times, but the first time I ever experienced Double Dave's was in Austin, roughly the year 2000 or 2001. Didn't know they were in Houston before that.

What about Darby's Hamburgers -- anyone remember that place? That was the first time I remember having a Texas-style burger (mustard on it).

I went there once or twice. I seem to remember it being referred to as "Puke's"
