Really? I haven't had the nachos there. I'll have to try them.

And I'm sick of them now, but the Nacho platter at Pub Fiction is gargantuan as well.

Being Italian, I would agree. Most Italian food we eat is homemade.

I think the pizza is ok but it can be really greasy sometimes. I actually prefer their other stuff. They have a pretty good chicken parm

Wait...Alfredo's Pizza or Pizza by Alfredo? There's a huge difference.

Don't answer that. It's an Office reference for those who don't watch ;)

BJ's "Sweet Pig" is my favorite pizza by far.

Candellari's (sp?) on Washington and Star Pizza, like others have said, are pretty good.

brothers is legit, at least the one on cypresswood and 45
kinnealy's irish pub has one of the best pies in town
cadelaris used to have fantastic pizza but it seems like the past 2 times i've been there their quality has slipped

chicago style "pizza" isn't pizza, it's basically lasgana and it pales is comparison to true NYC style pizza.

I would agree about Candelari's going downhill. Over the past 6 months or so they have changed that restaurant trying to make it more "upscale". At dinner now you get seated by a hostess and have a waiter (as opposed to ordering at the counter and grabbing a seat). However, the food quality has gotten worse, IMO. Their Penne Perfeto used to be my favorite dish. The last three times I have ordered it it's been very mediocre. We gave up on them.

I also wanted to mentioned a new pizza chain, Z Pizza, which recently opened near my house. They definitely have above average pizza.

Besides the usual suspects (Pink's, Star, etc), Kenneally's makes a damn good pizza

If chicago style is lasgana, then Chicago Style Lasgana > New York Style Pizza.

I'll take a Chicago pie over anything I've had in Italy or NYC.. Real Italian pizza is overrated IMO..
