how much do you guys pay for the 300 package? would you guys prefer nba league pass or cooking channel/food channel. either way you still get to watch the rockets games on FSN Houston on directtv.

    [Uverse] WTF

    http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2010/11/05/att-cuts-hgtv-food-network.html

i wondered why i had such a hard time finding food network this morning  we will cancel our service over this. food network and hgtv are easily two of the most watched channels in our house. this will bite at&t in the ass bigtime.

All these TV companies are morons. Just cop out a little more money and keep the prices for customers the same. Jesus christ. Selfish tycoons.

Seems like this happens a lot to the cable/satellite companies.

food network has to be one of the most popular channels right now... they might as well be cutting espn or cnn. it's a joke.

They can't be watched THAT much in your house if you just realized they were gone this morning.

I really hope Comcast doesn't pull this ****. Comcast has been solid so far, knock on wood.

Gonna be funny when you cancel, pay for another service to come out there to install dish/comcast, etc....and by that time the channels will be back.

It sucks we lost the channels, but my guess is it will last a few weeks.

as frustrating as it is. you can't beat the price of uverse. I just called comcast and my equivalent service would be approximately $35-$40 more and that would be on a 6 month special package.

Every cable provider has these fights with contracts. Comcast has pulled channels in the past as well.

Food Network is a pretty good channel with some interesting shows. I'm mildly pissed!

What the holy hell, AT&T? Couldn't you have waited until AFTER football season to do this? Those are like, the ONLY two channels my wife watches! Because of you, I've got a woman sitting next to me watching football yelling at the players to stop fighting. FML.

    Looks like they're coming back...

    http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune....-scripps-channels-return-to-atts-u-verse.html

    By Steve Cavendish

AT&T U-verse was in the process of restoring Food Network, HGTV, and other Scripps Networks channels to millions of customers Sunday night as the companies returned to the negotiating table.

The two sides had just begun gearing up a public relations offensive, launching informational sites like att.com/fighting4you and www.keepmynetworks.com aimed at targeting customer frustration at each other.

A source tells the Tribune that the channels will return and the two companies will operate under the terms of the previous contract.

They're back for me even though it still shows the channel listing as Bravo.
