I go to Singapore every other year but never heard of this place. I will check it out next time I'm there. That said if we are talking about worldwide instead of just H-Town some of the best food I've ever had was from street vendors in Thailand.
I'm going to give a plug to Benjy's Restaurant where a friend of mine is the Exec. chef. I've only been to the one in the Village but I think there is another location.
new location on washington... really cool space but damn near impossible to get in their on a fri or sat night. i really like benjy's but the last time i went there the food overall was mediocre.
Don't remind me. I miss it. My last day in Cali, I had it. Sooo good. The closest thing we have here is Five Guys and that does not even closely compare.
I don't get it. In the times I visited LA, I went to In-n-Out. It was good, but it was not nearly worth the hype.
Affordable fast food does not get better than that. It isn't gourmet or high end, but for the price (which is very affordable), you cannot get better. Their burgers taste hella bomb, fresh cut potato fries (and you can animal style it, adding their special sauce (which is like a thousand island dressing) and sauted onions).
Have you guys every been to Nidda Thai on Westheimer? It's pretty damn good and seems pretty authentic
gotta throw in my usual plug for the Chicken Fried Steak at Pappy's Café on I-10. I know, everyone has their favorite, but it's consistently (20+ years) the best I can find.
So I tried the new Smashburger on Buffalo Speedway on Saturday...and it was pretty damned good. Thanks for the rec
Tornado burger in Stafford on Murphy is pretty good. heres some reviews: http://www.b4-u-eat.com/houston/restaurants/reviews/rsv4951.asp It's $2.50 for the spicy cheeseburger
I could not make it myself..........wife's flight on Saturday was late. What did you not like about it?
why didn't you like it? what did you order? i'm going to go again today with my co-workers and see what they think. and on Rudi Lechners, i will concur, that is some good stuff!!! we celebrated my husband's 30th there and it was sooo good! i'm going for the real thing next month tho at oktoberfest in munich. can't beat that!!
