It's much better if you just buy the hummus mix and make it yourself. You can add olive oil, parsley, sumac (spice) & tomatoes if needed. This is an example of the mix.. Spoiler I've never liked the store ones bc its too thick usually. Kasra has the best hummus in town. House of Kabab has the second best.

+3 for Kasra. Best Persian/Middle Eastern restaurant in Houston. Why would anybody ever buy hummus from a grocery store? Easiest thing to make in the world and fraction of what you would pay in grocery store.
Many non-Arab countries are known for hummus. Iran, Greece, and Morocco just to name a few.. It is technically an Arab dip though according to wiki
Hummus is great stuff. I eat it at least twice a week with pita bread. Don't buy the store branded one. Those are terrible. The one from any restaurant is much better than that prepackaged hummus.
I ate at Fadi's a few weeks ago and they have flavored hummus now. I tried the smoked/smokey one and it was delicious.
I don't understand how someone can not like hummus. Prolly my favorite snack/side dish. My recipe: Can of chickpeas with most of the liquid 4-5 cloves of garlic 2-3 tablespoons of Tahini Dash of paprika Dash of salt and pepper 1 serrano pepper Juice from one lemon Blend the hell out of everything = Yumness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
