I like mine scrambled with onions, bell pepper, and cheese. Sort of a semi-omelet. We use egg substitute.
I'm good with anything...but I do like them poached the best. It's nice to dip a piece of toast in the yolk.
My favorite way(s) to have eggs (couldn't pick a favorite): a) Scrambled with a little grated sharp cheddar mixed in and lots of black pepper and sea salt. b) Hotel buffet style omelet, where an omelet professional makes it with only your preferred ingredients. I go with bacon, onions, peppers, spinach, jalapeno, and cheese. c) Over easy, one of two ways: -The classic "egg-in-a-hole" with wheat toast or just on the side of wheat toast. Love to drag my toast through the runny yolks. -On top of a perfectly cooked pile of long grain white rice. It's a Cuban (and I'd assume Caribbean) peasant food specialty (juevo frito con arroz). Delicious.
Scrambled or omelet for breakfast. I like to experiment new ways to have them if you guys have your own recipes. I'd like to try them. Hardboiled or deviled for snacks.
laid by free range chickens. Keep those hormones out of my eggs! Also, I will literally eat an egg anyway except for raw. I love eggs. I am actually going threw withdrawals right now because I am out.
Over easy. Eat the white first, then break the yoke sopping it with toast and/or hash browns. Eggs taste great but they're very high in cholesterol. Eat extra potassium.
Bringing back this thread - where I work, the only redeeming thing about it is that we have a dining center and they make some great food. I don't get breakfast every day (too expensive) but occasionally I will get an omelette. The one I had today had ham, sausage, bacon, jalapenos, mushrooms, AND Bleu cheese!! Man the bleu cheese really made it a special dish...was so good.
Either scrambled with chorizo, bell pepper and onions or inside huevos rancheros, or best... fried with chilaquiles verdes.
My wife tried these and I thought it would be a joke . . . nope, no joke, these are truly the best scrambled eggs you will ever have.
if you make scrambled eggs, try them with shredded coconut (some people use coconut milk, too) ... unless you don't like coconut ... in which case, don't do that.
I like coconuts, you can break them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun. That sounds terrible though. So does the Gordon method.
It's scrambled eggs and he is one of the GOAT chefs. Not sure how you make that assumption. What is your technique?
