I try to eat healthy, but sometimes there are things you just can't resist. I have 3 at the moment. I always used to swear by Shipleys, but past few years I have slowly gotten hooked on the kolaches at Kolache Factory, so much so that I had to give it up for Lent. I've also been indulging in the slushes and cream slushes at Sonic to the point where my almost 5 year old calls me out on it! And then chips..glorious chips! Usually either Cheese Nips, Cheese Its or Cheese Popcorn. Ok technically none of those are chips. But if there's nothing like that at home I have to go to the store and get some.
Fried Shrimp, Fried Catfish, Chips and Salsa, Beer, Cheese Enchiladas. Those are my downfalls. Just eat reduced fat Cheezits
Chocolate chip cookies. If I go to the store hungry I end up buying a box. I can't pass them up anywhere, even if I know they aren't homemade. Chips and salsa is up there too. I also have one glazed donut at work every Friday from Christy's Donuts in midtown (better than Shipley's IMO).
Chips and salsa doesn't seem that guilty compared to a host of other foods. I enjoy gorging myself with the fat parts of a steak.
Where to begin.. 1) Fried Shrimp (especially Pappadeux) 2) Chips and Queso 3) Chicken Wings prepared in any way 4) The entire Popeye's Chicken menu 5) The fried fish a Luby's 6) Popcorn at movie theaters
the baked chocolate lava cake at dominos, cherry or grape (or cherry-grape) cream slushes from sonic, the beer bread at saltgrass, lots of good naan and paneer, extremely high-fat soups like creamy tomato bisque from the randall's deli section or portobello & madeira from campbell's, salted caramel ice cream.
1.)Fried seafood. Its this steak in seafood place in Hempstead not too far from where I live and their fried fish (red snapper and catfish) and shrimp is amazing. I want some right now.(twss) Two of my friends and I have made it our hangout on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. Not exactly 3 times at least but at least once a week. I was trying to make a fishing trip for this weekend since its nice out but that didn't happen. 2.) Oh and the Chips Ahoy with the Reeses cups are to bomb. 3). Cheetos puffs. I don't get them often but man I have to have self control. All that sodium. 4.) Southwest Eggrolls from Chillis. I think many will agree on that. 5.) French fries including sweet potato fries or just potatoes period. Can't decide. 6.) Hot wings & honey BBQ wings. I love them. Id'e rather make my own homemade honey BBQ wings though. But I guess it goes along with whoever said all kinds of chicken wings. I like the garlic parmesan wings from pizza hut, but sometimes they seem too salty so I stopped getting them.
The cheddar cheeseburger. I know it's wrong. I know that food animals have analogous nervous systems to my own, and that they feel pain, even if they can't articulate it. I know the slaughterhouses are unclean, and under-regulated, and that mass livestock warehouses make an immoral process even more unbearable for its victims. I know that my actions add to greenhouse gases. I know they spread disease, and I'll die sooner from heart disease than if I abstained. I know that I have to work myself into a nihilistic moral vacuum, every time I eat one, and come once again to the unhealthy realization that my existence, alone, necessitates the suffering of others. And I know, ---- it, they taste good. That's a guilty pleasure.
Fried chicken Bacon And back from my sto.......uhhhh college days: regular Cheetos with Campbell's soup.....throw a few in the bowl, eat while crunchy, repeat. A weeks worth of sodium in every meal
I could indulge in Chicken Tikka Masala and Basmati rice until I absolutely can't anymore...it's that good. Moe
I will probably lose 10 pounds once Whataburger does away with their all time favorites (specifically the double patty melt)
