Yao is an old school center in a new school NBA.

It really isn't. If the problems with the Rockets were typical "new system, new players" stuff, it'd be one thing. But there are core, fundamental red flags with this team that go well beyond a "give them time to gel" brush off.

Guys that don't work hard in practice, guys that don't give full effort in games, defensive apathy, lack of leadership.....these are alarming issues that only fester with time.

If Rick can't put a fire under these guys and get them on task, I don't want him as a coach. If you believe that he needs better character guys to succeed, blew up the roster and bring them in. I'm all for sending half the squad to Jersey for Kidd.

Why would you say this if we were winning? This point is to get wins not to fire the guy because he won't put your buddy in there...What kind of rocket fan are you?

I´m all with it i´ve already pointed the need of playoff experience and a good organizer on the team, also Kidd will prevent tmac to take lazy shots because with him tmac won´t be able to run the offense everytime as he wishes, Kidd is a proven player and tmac cannot "outego" him.

The first sentence of your post does not agree with any of the rest of your post...

First you say not to panic, and then you go on to point out all the reasons why you think the Rockets won't win any games...

For Kidd we will have to part at least with:

Francis, Novak, Snyder, Francis, Landry ---> Expiring contracts for about 5.6 millions

And Alston, James to fill another 10 millions (James 2 years left and Alston 3)

We will have to return Brooks to sub Kidd, Kidd can also teach Brooks some stuff.

Hey, thanks for pointing that out. And I was thinking about becoming a sports beat writer. :(

Not to Panic in MY eyes means its an early season. My explanations beyond that are what I see as problems. I never said they wouldnt win any games. Just my ameteur opinion.

I agree that it's not too early to panic a bit especially if this constant mediocrity just results in us pulling off a trade. If we pull off a trade we're automatically forced to deal with another "adjustment period" the same type Adelman got at the beginning of the season. Well guess what, it's not the beginning of the season anymore and Adelman is still coaching like he's trying to get a feel for this team. A trade, whether one is necessary or not, just prolongs this "head scratcher" mix/match rotation Adelman is using.

As for your Kidd suggestion, you know you don't really mean that. Given our leadership problems, it makes little sense to trade for a player that's in the midst of quitting on his own team.

Nevermind the obvious facts: he'll be 35-years-old before season's end, he makes $20 million a year and he's an uptempo PG that couldn't possibly mix well with Yao. I just don't see any form of a J-Kidd trade improving this team. Even if we got him for "cheap" we would still have the same exact problems at PG that we have right now.

Well right now i will se Kidd as an improvement at the point, no matter if he is a uptempo PG or not, he´ll do things better than rafer, but the most important thing is his personality, Kidd is not quitting on the team just after achiving nothing is quite obvious that Kidd quitting is more related to Vince Carter extension than his teammates as a whole he was asking for improvements and they sing Carter again, having a quite deep pool of FA this summer and the next two also they stick with a player that proved to choke in the PO.

It´s for me kind of a common sense, he was looking for upgrades, the owners preferred someone to fill the seats, he says goodbye.
