the underrated beverage of the American coffee shop. although in the UK and Australia, the process is backwards and is called a Long Black. the shot is pulled into the hot water as opposed to the Americano, where the water is poured into the shot... preserves the "crema"
why the negative strikes on Starbucks? <<< serious question. Sometimes i think people hate on large chains in general because thats what they are, chains... or they just don't like the popularity and considers those who go there douche bags. Maybe they just dont like the taste ... to each its own. Regular coffe, iced coffe, white chocolate mocha, PUMPKIN SPICE!
there are only two negative responses in this thread about Starbucks. but yeah- the consensus among coffee drinkers is that the coffee tastes burnt. and who wants to spend between $3 and $5 for a syrup flavored coffee drink? do you support a large chain over a mom and pop coffee shop? I prefer the latter.
Only two in this thread but anytime coffee discussions comes up here Starbucks get bashed. Like i said not saying someones opinion is wrong i was just curios to the known reasoning. Im guessing i dont know any better when it comes to coffee but anytime i get a cup elsewhere it usually taste like hot water. I like the string taste of Starbucks. I usually pay 2.00 bucks for a large coffee.... Also Starbucks is so easy to find.. there was a Dun Bros by my house that i liked but they are gone. Suggestions for the Eldridge Briar Forest area?
I've never actually bought anything from Starbucks. One time I went with a friend and she got me some sort of strawberry frappuccino. It had a lot of whipped cream on it. It tasted pretty good, but then I read it had something like 500 calories. Needless to say, I haven't been back.
Do you wear a jacket coat when you drink it? Do you have a cupholder in your car automobile that will hold the cup? I hate how Starbucks has taken a normal word like chai and had to dumb it down for people to know what it is. Chai is chai. You don't go to the coke soft drink machine.
Went back today (promised myself I won't go again until Sunday) but got the Caramel Macchiato. That might be my favorite hot drink with the Caramel Frappucino being my favorite cold drink.
Frappucinos and blended cremes. There are ways to lower the calorie content - skim milk, no whipped cream, etc., and if you can't have caffeine you can have it made with decaf or no coffee. Still a kind of expensive dessert, so I only let myself have one on rare occasions.
I work at a coffee shop and we definitely pull the shots into a cup of hot water which is what preserves the crema.
i second chai tea latte. cousin made it for me once while he was working at starbucks. only drink i get at starbucks
