To be fair, so did I, until I read that article.

    Maybe a ClutchFan's get-together should be there?

Hey - while we're on the subject...

Where is the best place in town (inner loop) to buy live crawfish?

Awesome!!! Glad you liked it! Best seafood gumbo...anywhere.

Next time, try the crawfish bisque.

to each his own. i love cooking, and this recipe is not so difficult. one tip though, if you cook or eat any kind of soup at home, please try a little brandy in it. it adds a nice bite to any soup or stew.

Well, it's not cajun, but creole, but the turtle soup at Brennans is still pretty darn good. Their gumbo is also nice.

That kitchen can be great or just so so. They tend to do pan-saute well - like oysters. Oyster breakfast with eggs, soup, a sazerac and bloody mary sounds pretty good. Maybe I'll beat the valentine's rush on Sun.

My folks love turtle soup, and always get it when they go to Brennan's. They spent the first few years of their marriage in Philadelphia, and got hooked on turtle soup at Bookbinders.

    The stuff makes me cringe!

    :D

F*ck me, that place is like 5 minutes from my house. I've driven by it for years and never once thought about checking it out. Now that I know it's one of the best places to get Cajun, I'll be sure to check it out the next time I'm home.

    Rajun Cajun.

Pappadeaux is great, but I consider it seafood with cajun flavor. You can get boudain at rajun cajun.
