The other one is on Irvington. RM95....is your wife's office near the one in my neighborhood? If so, let me know, and we can meet for dinner/happy hour. Buck knows his Tex Mex.....
Tonight, I went to this place called Pang Tai's Stirfry Bistro on Westheimer and Walnut Bend. It was pretty damn good. They have all kinds of asian cousine from Chinatown and thai classics to east meets west concoctions. They have a "mongolian bbq" kind of deal they call a stir fry bowl. You take a bowl up to the ingredients which are laid out like a salad bar and put together what you want from meat, veggies, and then rice or noodles. Then you pick a sauce and they stir fry it. They also have a Sushi happy hours from 2 to 6 and 9 til closing. Didn't try the sushi, but I imagine if they are willing to sell it for 1 dollar a piece, it can't be that good. http://www.pangtais.com/main.aspx
We've had this conversation, but probably not sober. It's a wholesale diamond company. She works with a bunch of your kind. Seriously, she was excited when I told her about this place and us going to get drinks. We leave for a week on Sunday for our honeymoon, then the week after that is super packed, but the week starting the 12th we will definitely grab dinner/margaritas. Pre-party at Tex's place!
Is her office in the old-timey group of offices on the south side of West Bellfort just west of Chimney Rock (across the street from the shopping center with the 99 cent store in it)? I vaguely remember this conversation, and we were definitely not sober! Yes the week of the 12th we will definitely do this! Hope we make it alive through the pre-party!!
That's it. All the companies in that little building are owned by the same group. Cross your fingers on her getting this big promotion and we may be neighbors!
I enjoyed the new Perry's that opened up in NW Houston. It's kind of pricy, but classy. The porterhouse for 2 was excellent.
You guys are talking about my old stomping grounds. My mom lives just down the street on W. Bellfort before you get to Hillcroft, and my best friend from Highschool bought a house on the other side of W. Bellfort near the 99 cent store. My dad "lives" at the nursing home just south of there. (which reminds me....RM Tex....you need to get your directions straight--the 99 cent store in the South side of W. Bellfort......RM95's girl is on the north.
Where is the famous Frenchy's fried chicken??? I love Popeyes...and i've heard people rave about it?? DIRECTIONS!
Ahhh..........then I apologize. to RM Tex for correcting him. and especially to you and your girl.......for thinking she worked in those weird looking apartment buildings where dubious goings-on seem to occur (N corner of W. Bellfort; W corner of Chimney Rock).
I hear ya. Sounds like her building is on the same side of the street as the "Chinese Restaurant that Never Has Any Customers". I always thought that place was a drug front.
