Makes me crazy that our alumni (such as Mario Eli, Sam Cassell, and Scotty Brooks) never come back to Houston to coach. It would be awesome for the fans to see our hometown heroes still involved with the Rockets. Instead we sign robots like McHale, Fitch and Gunning who aren't in the least bit tied to the city.

I'm sorry but I like the Assistant coaches we have more than Ellie.

It'd be fun to have him here but I'm not sad he's going to the Niets.

I wanted Elie here when we had T-Mac. Nobody else had the balls to check the guy. I feel sorry for the Nets' players, Carlesimo should be coaching high school. You can yell at kids, millionaires not so much.

Yeah he announced this at the Kiss of Death night.... didn't know it was a secret or I would have posted. Yeah it was awkward when they asked him what he was doing and he paused and blurted out he was working with the Nets. But hey, he's a great hire and deserves a good gig. Ellie ftw. Hope he does well there and gravitates his way back to Clutch City.

There's too many freeways and too much driving overall in Houston - he'll be safer riding MTA/Taxi/Car service
