i hate flynn because he dribbles the ball to many damn times but i think there gonna keep him cause him and mchale worked together when they were on the timberwolves.
Lin is the Moneyball player. He draws fouls, gets steals, grabs more rebounds than average for his position. Flynn is the big game college player who has been a bust so far.
Honestly I don't think it's really between Lin or Flynn. If the Rockets really wanted Lin, they can still free up room through another trade. Either way, McHale also knew about Lin during the summer league. And if Lin is bound to be a 4PG on the Rockets, it's probably better that he gets waived to try to get more playing time with another NBA team. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/d6kq87WfIMw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Lin to the Vipers for a callup after we trade some of our play....errr...assets away to clear room. DD
Keep Flynn I live in Palo Alto, California and have watched Jeremy Lin play since high school. He's better off as a free agent than languishing on the Rockets bench in a suit.
I agree, Flymn has so much more talent and his trade value is much higher. Looking at the poll results, it seems to be racially biased. People on here don 't have a clue! LIN WILL BE CUT BY THE END OF THE WEEK
This is a very hard choice, but i will stick with Flynn because of what i have seen. I mean the coaches stuck with him even after a bad shooting game 1.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO FORWARD THIS THREAD TO MCHALE. McHale needs to get over his obsession with Flynn asap
Just because people disagree with your opinion does not mean that they are biased. If anything, there is bias against Lin because no one of his background has been in this position before; look at the fact that he was California player of the year and led his team to the HS championship over a heavily favored team yet received no Div. I scholarship offers and was ignored by nearby Stanford. Lin doesn't play flashy, make useless between the legs dribbles after the referee blows the whistle; he just plays to win.

Flynn's career has been hampered by injuries and bad situations. The talent and pedigree to go with it are there. This kid needs to stay healthy and find his game. The thing is, when right, he's a leader who can get into the lane...and score..or distribute.....Lin's upside is a fringe NBA player, whereas, Flynn at the very least will be a solid rotation player....unlocked value in Flynn there is.
You're absolutely spot on. However, how many of those guys who have all the potential in the world end up flaming out because they never got it? There's really too many to count. And if we're talking about a player who can contribute right now...it's Lin by far.
I was really impressed with Lin and think he is probably the better player right now, but unless Flynn is traded or cut (unlikely) I think the team will keep Flynn.
I think what some people are forgetting is that Flynn has gotten 20+ times more NBA playing time in his career than Lin, so Lin is actually much more the "rookie" with more upside. When Lin gets playing time, he will produce. So no need for Flynn to "find" his game; Lin actually needs the chance to find his game with more minutes. Give Lin a chance.
