I can't remember the last time I got a flu shot. I guess it's me tempting / teasing fate every year, but I don't think I'll ever get one unless I actually catch it.

I got a flu shot last week and I didn't feel either anything either. No soreness on my arm.
This is the first ever flu shot I've gotten. My work paid for it though otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

Not to be a downer, but the people most at risk are infants and the elderly. If you live with either, you should consider it. You could get a "mild case" that ends up killing someone you care about.

Either that or don't drink and condition yourself to cope without air conditioning and avoiding drastic temperature changes. I kind of had to do that when I lived in Omaha (short enough commute to drive without the AC, good insulation and not freezing cold everyday like Michigan or Minnesota) because the air was too dry to keep the heater on at night without irritating my eyes and whole sinuses.

Do you want to back that claim up with peer reviewed scientific evidence, Jenny McCarthy?

Night two. Symptoms come and go, back pain comes and goes. Took a shower and relieved symptoms temporarily.

Can only hope I get better tomorrow. :(

I just dipped my genitals in a huge bottle of isopropyl alcohol. Guarantees that I will never get herpes, without actually giving me herpes.

man, sorry to hear this. What is your temperature? The worst thing for me is the high temp-induced hallucinating dreams...like from the movie Jacob's Ladder.

I've only had severe flu about 2-3 times. First two as an adolescent and younger. The last was when I was at peak physical fitness age 20. I had these cold, sweating "dreams" which really were full awake hallucinations. I think I was at 103 degrees. My concept of time and reality changed. Everything sped up. I first tried to turn on the radio as a metronome to give me a pace. That work for awhile, but didn't last. I eventually got out of my bed to walk around Fort Hood so I could see other people walking in correct speed. Don't know how else to explain it than I lost my sense of speed...everything was wayyyy too fast...and I was going insane because of it.

Not sure how much you can do to keep the fever down, ibuprofen and drink a lot of water if you can keep it down, to flush yourself out. But that often backfires by causing puking.

    Feel bad for you, RR.

When the flu kills 50,000 people you do. How much CH2O is in the shot and how much is already in your blood right now?
