An ass kissing a donkey's ass isn't enough. Let him french kiss one of those Florida alligators.

I know this has a bit of relevance to this board since Yao is still an Chinese. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEARS Yao even though you are NBA's Most Disappointing Player, named by Mr. Waters from
    somewhere in the world.

I swear Florida papers are more concerned with Houston than most Texas or even Houston papers are. Stay in Florida and deal with players you know about. Damn.

Based on his logic, then I'd include Oliver Miller and Robert Traylor as the most disappointing players of all-time because they should have averaged at least 65 points a game.

Has anybody posted a reply to floridatoday.com.
45/46 NBA fans would write better analysis.

    But, the thing is...
TMac came here cause of Yao. How to suggest TMac has gonne to worse team?

Don't understand why they don't take into consideration the actual minutes Yao plays when they talk about his scoring and rebounding.

But then again if they did that they wouldn't really have an angle to go and and start a story.

Yao can't play more that 31.4 min due to foul or stamina trouble. I mean that excuse is overused. Comparing Yao per 48 min stats isn't that great again due to the fact that he can't yet play taht much.

By saying Yao is the Most Disappointing Player in the NBA, you can also say that Ashlee Simpson is the most talented singer of any generation at any time. Give me a friggin' break.

There should be a long list before he even mention Yao as one of the most disappointing players.

    Kwame Brown
    Kenyon Martin
    Olowokandi
    Jay Williams
    Tyson Chandler
    Eddy Curry
    Eddie Griffin
    Darius Miles
    Raef LaFrentz
    Dajuan Wagner
    Shane Battier

just to name a few. All high draft picks, but nobody is even play near as good as Yao.

Reply from Ken of FLA today.

I sent a nasty E-mail to FLA today regarding the article of the NBA's five most disappointing players. Here's the reply from them:

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Disappointing doesn't mean they aren't any good, and I think the Take 5 pointed that out clearly. Obviously, Kobe Bryant is one of the best in the league, but the fact the Lakers would barely make the playoffs at this point shows his year has been somewhat of a disappointment.

Latrell Sprewell's numbers have been the worst of his career by far and the Timberwolves' play has suffered party because of that.

Yao's stats aren't bad, in fact they're pretty good. I'd argue that if someone should have been left off the list, it's him. That being said, people expected really big things from him with the addition of McGrady.

Van Horn, while not the player he was a few years ago, still is capable of big nights and he's had few of them.

Gary Payton is past his prime but manages to talk a big game, but the numbers no longer back it up.

But yes, would you win games starting these five? Most definitely. But the point of the Take 5 list was to point out players (and good ones, at that) who haven't lived up to their expectations.

I hope you can see that.

    Ken

Again, there should be a long list of disppiontments before he even reach Yao and Kobe. Kwame Brown, Kenyon Martin, Olowokandi, Jay Williams, and Tyson Chandler were all expected to be good if not great. Why aren't they on the list?
