I largely agree with you. Minimum wages need to be indexed to inflation and cost of living by some regional jurisdiction. Just picking 15 bucks arbitrarily is a bad idea.

This happened a bunch in 2016 and 2018 too. Dem ideas win all over the place - Arkansas and Missouri both passed increases in 2018 while simultaneously voting GOP - Claire McCaskill, one of the few truly moderate Senators, got booted out of Missouri by 6% in a blue wave year while they passed a minimum wage increase by a 62-38 margin.

Lots of Republicans making little wages. Simple as that.

Doesn’t that keep people in poor areas in those poor areas and conspire to make them fall further and further behind? It’s not as if big ticket items and stock are indexed to COL, and property prices already serve that crushing function, so why add to the shackle?

This totally gets the rolleyes emoji from me. They're only saying this because they can read the writing on the wall, like rats jumping off a sinking ship. He's been making the same kind of comments for weeks, but now they're starting to lose patience? Whatever.

Watch today when it looks like he might actually pull this thing out again how quick they come back licking his boots.

All they care about is power and money for their handlers/donors. These traitors know what they have allowed to happen to our democracy over the past 4 years and they don’t lose a minute of sleep about it.
