Honestly confused about this one. This isn’t a republican platform idea and somehow got approved there. Can anyone make sense of this?

it stood out to me too

$15 minimum wage passed with 61% of the vote, so something Trump was against and Biden said he was for during his campaign basically won by 20 points

They're all liberals and just don't know it bc Republicans have much simpler soundbites to understand and latch onto.

vote for the liberal idea, but when it comes to the actual candidates, make sure u vote straight red no matter what...then there’s the ones who claim they have a conscious, so they just left the vote for president blank because even if u hate Trump and everything he stands for, it still doesn’t mean u vote for a democrat...the Republican way

It shows that people are far more economically liberal (read: populist) than we think.

People in Florida who didn't vote for Biden did so because of guns and abortion... but the idea of putting a few extra bucks in their pocket they don't hate.

What’s so surprising? It’s not like Ayn Rand burned her social security checks.

It’s the culture. Vast majority of the American people want living wages, clean air, clean water, universal healthcare, and many other left policies, but a lot of these people won’t vote for the left candidate, simply because they like being culturally conservative.

My mother is uninsured, my father is too, also wants weed legalized and is concerned for environmental quality, yet they think Biden talks funny and is the establishment, so they both supported Trump. There’s just not a whole lot of sense to be made in this country.

This has been the key to Trump and the Republicans recent success. They've been able to repackage welfare to conservatives and they love it.

Trump often outflanked Democrats to their left on issues economically. Granted he never even feigned to deliver on those promises, but he DID talk the talk.

They did this with Felon voting in 2018 and the Governor and courts conspired to overrule them and have paid seemingly no penalty.

Don't be surprised if this goes in the same direction and republicans keep on republicaning.

Her books sold a ton. Why would she even need a social security check?

Personally I think $15 min wage is too high .

you talking about 15 year old lifeguards and other young entry level workers making too much .

I do think there needs to be a way to get everyone a boost with income , thus I favor UBI , but this will hurt business , some
(Like macdonalds) can afford to pay , I think many cannot .

granted , Florida as a state has a right to do this , I just think they ****ed up .

Depends on the runoff in Georgia. Could go 52-48 if Loeffler wins the runoff
