My feelings exactly. I can't imagine Orlando was complaining about winning the lotto. On top of it all... It was disgusting to see Weisbrod talk his crap on TV.

I ain't bitter, I just think its stupid how people see things with rose colored glasses on. If the same stuff happened here, he would get skewered. This thread has absolutely nothing to do with Francis, it's all about Mac's behavior last year. Make your excuses now, and put your hope and trust in Les that he would never do anything like that, kinda trusting that a professional football team would NEVER leave a place like Houston.

I sure remember San Antonio fans and management imploring Coach Hill to make his team tank their games in other to land the blue chip star Duncan in the 1997/98 if I recall correctly. Heck it was a who-can-tank-better context between Rick Pitino's Celtics and the San Antonio. It was hilarious because Sportcenter would carry regular "tankometer" updates. Celtics eventually tanked more but ended up landing Antoine Walker and Chauncey Billups.

Yes my point is when teams are out of it, they virtually give up trying the utmost best in games.

No joke. I'm not sure where the writer was going with that because they mentioned the stat line, then didn't follow it up with anything.

T-Mac did quit on his team which is unforgivable, but this columnist is still a whiny little b****. It was a good trade for both teams. Move on already!

I think the funny thing here is whiney ass Orlando fans don't try to find out WHY they lost Penny, Shaq AND Tmac in the last 15 years and instead chooses to bash them. Pathetic.

Seriously? I would. This year. Last year, the year before...you get the picture. Not only is McGrady a better talent, he is a better player. That is unfair to Steve.

Why can't both teams ad fans be happy.
We got T-mac we got better
they got francis and cato and they got better.
    so everybody got better.

EXACTLY! THANK YOU! Funny that the fans and media dont bash the MANAGEMENT that bungled player moves that cause some of those players to leave. Does anyone think Tmac would have left if he had players like Hill, Turkgolu, D Howard, Battie, Nelson etc around him for the last couple of years? Until THIS season the Orlando player moves have been TERRIBLE! No wonder Tmac left and felt that Orlando wasnt going anywhere. And yet the FANS are irritated that Tmac left.

What about being irritated at WHY he left....BAD MANAGEMENT!

But the Orlando Media is a huge propaganda machine to get the fans to hate on McGrady instead of going to the SOURCE of the problem which is piss-poor player moves!

that forgot the point to Francis' "outstanding" defensive effort on the journeyman SG converted to PG, who has a bad back and only one knee

    Sura - 19 points , 11 rebounds, 9 assists

PS _ someone PLEASE post this guys' article on the day after they trade Francis to Denver for Marcus Camby and a bag of marbles...

Exactly. I mean, we didn't boo Pippen for wanting to move on to another team. We didn't come up with stupid nicknames like Quitten or something silly like that. Clearly, we are head and shoulders above the fans of Orlando.

So, who's ready to not boo Carlos Beltran and the Mets? I know I'm not.

TMac actually balled for Orlando and got them to the playoffs before he quit. TMac actually at one point, wanted to play and played hard for Orlando. TMac actually WARNED Orlando he wanted out and got them the trade they apparently wanted.

Quitten never wanted to play for Houston but was after the money and later screwed the team and the fans, which got jack sh*t. Quitten actually had some talent around him but decided to quit any ways. Quitten QUIT in ONE season. And I know you aren't trying to compare Quitten's oncourt contribution to TMac's in a Rockets uniform, although I could be overtly optimistic.

What amuses me the most is that "slacking" is accepted by sports fans, especially when it's a "franchise" player being paid franchise money.

Who cares who you are playing with and what the management is doing, you give your 100% and that should be your goal in every game. Slacking off for a couple of games in a season is forgivable, slacking off for a season is not (even half a season is not).

When Quitten returned after being traded, we booed him mercilessly. Were we sour grapes? No. Were we booing him because we got basically nothing in return? No. We booed him because he was an ahole. Was Quitten's offense any better or worse than T-Mac's? No, because both players cheated their respective teams and their fans. They both deserved to be booed by their former fans.

Has/Will T-Mac turn the corner? We'll see in a couple of years. If the SI article is any indication, he hasn't learned anything yet, because he still feels what he did is "understandable/acceptable".

Yes, my post was about comparing T-mac to Pippen and not about hypocrisy. You are right on target. That Beltran stuff was there to throw people off. Clearly, it didn't work on you.
