Golden State must think highly of Cat and Gooden to trade their leading scorer and 2 serviceable front court guys for them. I don't see they're improving their team though. Richardson is a stud and a legitimate all-star, not one you can replace easily.
Not to mention that... *Cuttino has a Player Option for 2005-06 and may not be around if GS stinks as a team. *It's questionable whether Gooden can beat out Troy Murphy to be their starter. * This is Cliff Robinson's final year on his contract and they'd have gotten cap relief next summer. I'm scratching my head on this one....I don't see much in it for GS.
ANything posted on espn fan discussion boards should be eyed with the same skepticism as things reported by Peter Vescey... first, it would seem that having Cat traded away immediately wouldn't be something Francis would like. Second, GSW needs a PG more than they need a change at SG.
