I figured the Rocks weren't pursuing him. You would think Houston would be at the top of Fisher's list. Man, I hope the Barry deal didn't kill that rumored Daniels deal, but it probably did if that rumor was true. I hope the Rocks are trying to get Nick at Night.

    Halleleujah!

I really wanted Barry, but I'll celebrate if it's true we're not into mediocre Fisher (how do you shoot 35% from the field and 29% behind the arc when Shaq and Kobe are on your team?).

Hmm. Maybe this means that we have a chance to grab Daniels again.

    I'm pretty sure he sucks...

So no Hudson or Fisher..who is left? No Daniels either.

Ya, he's got a ton of potential but I'm not sure what we have to give up that the Clips would want in return. I wouldn't mind either Dooling or Jaric.

If no trade happens!!! Only thing Rockets can do is to find a back up PG for Lue right now. Many second tier PG as a FA. Mike James will be good!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing about us being back in the mix for Daniels.

With barry, arroyo, hudson, and now maybe fisher gone...he's all that's left.

Then I'm not sure why his name hasn't been mentioned in the press more as a coveted free agent. His talent is without doubt quite high. Witness the many games he lit Francis up! Maybe it's his injury history or that people just assume the Clips will be resigning him.

He isn't a coveted free agent and his talent is with doubt.

everyone is saying mike james. But remember everyone is complaining that fisher is overated b/c coming from a chamionship teams. Same can be said about james. I never heard of him before intill this year.

Difference between Fisher and James is that we can have James for a lot cheaper. Fisher will most likely demand the close to the full MLE, which is more than he's worth.

Actually, James made a name for himself while with the Celtics.

these florida papers are so dumb. Fisher was so angry about lossing starting job to a future HOF, but will be thrilled to back up a sophamore.

Sorry if this has already been posted (from Real GM news wire):

The Seattle PI: With the loss of their starting point guard, Brent Barry, the Seattle Supersonics are now in the hunt for a replacement.

One of the bigger names on the market right now, Derek Fisher, is a free-agent, and with Gary Payton re-signing for the Lakers, Fisher would have to keep the backup position if he stays in LA.

Fisher has proven he can be a solid starting point guard in the NBA, with clutch shooting and tough defense. Seattle could be just the place for Fisher if he can handle the weather.

Fisher was scheduled to visit Seattle this weekend. It is believed that he was in town yesterday
