I don't see a flop, I see someone stepping on his foot and then catching his knee when going through which would make anyone go down especially someone his size. Foul? No Flop? No He fell back that way to avoid an awkward fall and prevent an injury occurring. A flop is when someone is trying to draw a foul, it doesn't look like he is trying to drawl a foul
it was clearly a charge by the Pistons player. What's with the blatant lack of homerism in this thread?
<br> Will he get a translator a la Yao Ming? Will the translator be able to comprehend "giant" speak? So many questions...
nice euro! LOL I did that the other week to some kid at the gym... who actually tried to draw a charge in a pickup game. didn't even touch him. Love the euro... coo story... brah...
Yeah, that's interesting. 'cause if he didn't hit the floor, it's probably a whistle for a blocking foul.
Could have even been trying to avoid a foul. Definitely seems to have increased the difficulty of the layup, and avoided a likely blocking foul.
It looked like his foot got caught when he was stepping back. But he was also falling down before the step though. Idk, either way I laughed at him when I saw it live.
I'd give Omar a little more credit. If you're going to flop, it's going to be on a 7'0 throwing an elbow, or a big man coming at you trying to take a charge but realized you screwed up and had a bad angle. I'm not one to try and defend flops, I couldn't stand when Scola did it, couldn't stand when Martin did it. This to me doesn't seem like a "Flop." Clumsy, stepped on his foot, yes. Not a flop trying to draw a foul. Just my opinion.
There was a video that the NBA distributed to teams that showed the specific flops the NBA was looking out for, most of them involved contact and flailing motions so I think asik is safe from being made an example of.
