i understand how ppl in detroit and those ppl affiliated with maxiell's past play are going to vote for him, but i really don't see how so many "neutral" players are stating stuff like "max got this one easily." unbelievable.
When it comes to hustle play, Maxiell is but a young pupil to master Battier. About 930 people need to check their heads.
It's ridiculous to think this guy is even in the finals with Battier. Maxiell has played 3 seasons in the NBA. He only played 26 games as a rookie with zero starts, averaging 6 mpg. He played 67 games with 8 starts and averaged 14 mpg during his second season. Last season he played all 82 games but only started 7 times and averaged 21 mpg. Battier has been doing his thing for 7 seasons. All I've seen Maxiell do is block a few shots and throw down some putbacks. Is that the defintion of "floor burn"? I thought floor burn was about taking charges and grabbing loose balls. If we're talking about blocking shots and dunking, neither of these guys should be on the list. The truth is Maxiell hasn't even seen enough floor to burn. This contest is a joke if Battier doesn't win.
