Alot of people think flirting is: smiling saying hello small talk making someone laugh Thats a load of crap. If thats what you call flirting, then I guess I flirt with women, men, young, old, fat and bald people every day..... True "flirting" to me would be a combination of: checking someone out suggestive conversation touching giving fairly obvious signals
What if your gf told a guy friend (who admitted liking her already) that she wishes she was sometimes single to...is that flirting?
I like Drewdog's definition of flirting (after a more developed definition of "touching") ... but to make my day easier I try to make the people I have to talk to laugh - I hope they don't take that as flirting.
Flirting is healthy when done innocently...IMHO, it's a part of human nature...Although, I do agree that some people take flirting the wrong way and assume: a) You're hitting on them b) They're hitting on you c) You're into each other d) you're creepy e) they're creepy... I enjoy it, but find I do it less when I'm with someone, specifically if they're with me when I'm out...It just seems that more flirting occurs when you're with your significant other...funny how it works that way...
I've gotten in trouble by just saying "hello" in front of my wife. cleverly disguised thread to see if the ladies flirt with any of the arguing posters. CLEVER. Very clever, sir. cue the xcharged telling everyone I am married and shouldn't be in the 'flirting' thread, or MoBalls calling me a "p3nd3j0"...
