That was after he felt disrespected by the Rockets. Initially he wanted to stay here and wanted the respect. That was his number 1 desire. That changed later on, but not at first.
I only wish I could be there to give Stevie the standing O he truely deserves. (Too Bad, I'm in Milwaukee) Yeah, he may not have done what Dream or Rudy did for us. But he played harder than anyone on the court on any given night. I will never question his heart. EVER. And I think here at Clutch City, we would know by now, it's all about heart and effot, and never giving up. That's why Steve deserves a Standing O.
Steve deserves a nice round of applause, period. The guy played his heart out for 5 years on this team, he loved this city and he made it known. Unfortunately, it never amounted into anything. But his hustle and heart and love for the city surely deserves a little love.
Wow, it only took 6 posts until the thread was broken down into a bashing of the Orlando media by Fegwu. Some of you all just read too much into things....way too much. For one, Juwan Howard isn't starter-material on many squads, considering the state of the power forward position in the league these days. Tyronn Lue is even worse, as you guys found out. So, essentially, the Magic traded one starting-caliber player for 3 -- just like the article said!
Cato wouldn't be a starter on many squads and I wouldn't consider Christie a starter on most squads. McGrady + Howard + Barry + Gaines > Francis + Cato + Christie.
