Sure. That's funny. However, ants are animals smelling scent on trail. It is logical for them to panic at you rubbing the trail. Humans are thinking creatures with licenses. It is not logical for them to not follow a rule they should know by reading a book. They're just dumb.
The simple tongue in cheek analogy that seems lost on you is that dumb humans are being compared to simpler organisms. Instead you want to focus on the literal aspect of why ants scatter when their trail is disturbed, and why this should not happen to humans. Well no mierda, senor sherlock. That's why the analogy, humans have developed a backup plan in case their "scent trail" ie. lights aren't working, ergo they shouldn't act like ants. Using amazing deductive reasoning, someone should make that leap to conclusion that the dumb people not knowing/remembering the backup rules in case light are out, are being compared to ants, a lower organism in the animalia kingdom. IOW, it was a figurative analogy, not a literal one.
