Just saw the last episode, and it was simply awesome. I can't believe they're renewing V over this show. It's just depressing.
I agree, I gave up on V and their senseless side stories. At least on Flashforward, even the Keiko storyline isn't that much of a drag. I hope they had the foresight to make 2 versions of the season finale, one for if the series gets cancelled and gives the viewers closure. It's gonna really suck if there's some crazy cliffhanger, or nothing really happens, trying to build up to what they thought they could build on season 2.
Agree 100%. Unfortunately, Flash Forward picked up steam late and became really interesting after the break. I loved that last episode and felt they did a really good job of multiple storylines. And we know that since they were recently canceled, the season finale will provide no closure whatsoever.
Yea. . i think this show is a victim of the MID SEASON BREAK I remember when seasons were from Sept to May . . . Now you have about 3~4 seasons which is about 4~8 episodes then a long *ss break . . . even shows u like. .you go months and months .. . This sucks Rocket River
I hated this show at first. The way the moved was so slow. Seemed like each episode was full of nothing and then the final 2 minutes would give you a small plot advancer. After the break it got really good and start to give us interesting things. I'm very disappointed that it got cancelled.
I think they were setting it up for season 2, it was cancelled fairly recently, not enough time for them to re-write the remaining episodes Is there any news about another network possibly picking it up?
I think it's dead completely. I thought it was a good season finale. Such a shame that this is how they go out. So much potential.
yep, solid finale and solid season. terrible that no one's willing to pick up a show that's good and has a decent(?) following
****! ****!****! ****! ***1* ****! ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was a very good finale.....and good season. I'm pissed this show was dropped. For shows like The Gates...and Rookie blue or whatever it's called. BAH!!!!!
This was all recorded way before it was cancelled. So, this was the season finale.....but....since it was cancelled.....the last one.
I think I missed an episode? At what point between Mark putting an agent on watch detail and Penny Widmore slutting up with Simcoe did Mark and Penny become estranged/divorced? Simcoe seemed just as skeevy as Simon but with a kid. I got more satisfaction out of the Keiko story than I thought I would, but damn I wish we found out what happened to Mark (though future Charlie probably hints at that). And Band of Horses during the flashforward was a nice touch.
There were back-to-back episodes that moved along their separation rather quickly. In one episode, Penny wanted to move out-of-state to get away from all the things they saw in their FF, but Mark said he had an obligation to the job. The next episode basically started with Mark packing his car to stay at the Wedicks' house because of their marital problems. The way that they did the Mark/Olivia break-up and her falling for Simcoe wasn't very well done, but I didn't mind that too much because it helped move the story forward more briskly. I thought the season finale was pretty awesome. It seems like the writers of this show had a lot of interesting ideas up their sleeve for future seasons. Jericho being involved, the president seemingly being involved in some capacity, Simon realizing he had been nothing but a pawn his entire life, and of course, the second global black out and Mark going MIA. I'm trying to figure out if everyone got flashforward to the same time in the 2nd GBO because I saw a 2015 New Years' date in one of the FF and a 2011 date in another one.
Ya, the ending flash forward put so many interesting ideas out on the table. Really wish they had a chance to follow some of them. The show should have got at least one more season. As for the Mark and Olivia break up, it was very quick....and kind of confusing when it happened. But I too thought how they went through it quickly was good, to not waste too much time on a side story of their marriage, and rather stay on track with the upcoming flash forward date. Simon's character was getting really interesting. Olivia was definitely a 2 time biatch, she moved on so quickly. Also, LOL @ the poster above...Vinsensual calling her Penny (obviously a LOST fan).
For my 0.02 it wasn't staggeringly awesome or anything, but it was def. interesting most of the time, very compelling in its best moments... and canceling it? That feels totally absurd! It started out great - then it seemed to wane in the early middle episodes, if that makes sense - but then when it came back on, it got damn interesting. Anyway add me to the list of "I don't understand what ABC's problem is". The way a major network gauges profitability seems like quite a crutch these days compared to how shows on cable have been faring / surviving past one season.
seeing shows like this cancelled is probably why I really never got into tv shows. LOST was the first one I watched every week, before that I just watched stupid shows like South Park and Family Guy, Simpsons etc..... LOST got me to start watching other shows, like V and Flash Forward.....and mini series like Spartacus. Just depressing to get into a show only to have it axed so early.
Pretty sure all those shows you mentioned are summer shows not actual fall shows that would replace Flashforward. Anyway, the finale was totally setting up a second season which really sucks because there was all kind of interesting things in those flashes, oh well, it'll just be like all those other shows that ended after 1 season with no resolution. I'd like to hope that they at least did a TV movie to wrap it up but I think that's doubtful.
