Just saw this last night. I thought it was freaking great. And it was co-created and directed by David S. Goyer, a great comic book writer and one of the two writers on the last two great Batman movies.
Saw it Friday nite, was ok just not sure how they can stretch this out for more than a few seasons if it survives.
I liked it. It has that whole set you up like Lost thing. So that means they will string you along for a long time. I lost interest in Lost (see what I did there?). I'm afraid I'll be the same way here. I guess as long as they give you little tidbits that fill in the blanks and answer questions along the way, it'll work for me.
I never watched Lost, so maybe that is why I really enjoyed this first episode. Looks like a really interesting show. This stuff just gets me, so I am definitely hooked.
Really? I usually go by the storyline, and Lost did not seem all that compelling. People did rave about it though, so maybe one day.
Do like my brother, wait until the series is finished and then watch them all in one big marathon. He hasn't seen a single episode yet because he said he might as well wait until he can watch them all in order when it's done. Lucky for him I have bought all the seasons on DVD already so he can do that. I will probably watch it with him when he finally does just to see it all from start to finish. As for FlashForward (one word) I think it has potential, but we shall see. I did enjoy the premiere, but it's on during Bones... so I have to watch it on delay
There's 103 hours of Lost and roughly 16 weeks until the season premiere. If he watched an episode a day, he'd be caught up in time. It'd be like a bog marathon like that. I'm rewatching all the episodes myself leading up the premiere. I've been watching 4 episodes a week since the beginning of June and I'm almost to the end of season 3. Ari, it didn't seem interesting to me at first either. I thought it was going to be an acted out version of Survivor. After hearing people rave about it, I started watching at the beginning of season 2. I was hooked after a few episodes. I got the Season 1 DVD's and watched the entire season in 3 days.
My roommate in college and I watched it over a weekend... 20 eps straight, went to bed, and then woke up and watched the last 5. The first season of Lost and the first season of 24 are perhaps the two most addictive shows ever. The beginning of the first episode of Flash Forward felt exactly the same as the beginning of the first episode of Lost. Benford waking up into the chaos of a giant catastrophe vs Jack waking up in the middle of the chaos of a plane crash.
Sorry, the list I looked at only showed the first 8 episodes. They ordered 13 so maybe they haven't confirmed the air dates for the last 5 yet.
Pretty decent show and interesting premise...will watch the next couple of ones and see how it evolves...
