I have no issue with this, to be honest I thought you already had to be 21

 

If you're old enough to go to war you're old enough to drink and get naked for money IMO.

 

Yeah I am mixed. You're absolutely correct on this and I fully agree.

On the other hand, I do have concerns with 18 year olds who look much younger stripping.

Its probably best to respect the individual sovereignty of a state deemed 'adult'.

My comment is probably more geared toward raising the combat deployment age than it is lowering the drinking/stripping age.

Enlistment is one thing, putting a gun in someone's hand and shipping them off to a war zone is another.

Of course this all goes out the window in the event of an actual existential war and not one of these voluntary war-as-profit episodes.

Great way to legislate without doing anything real.

I guess this could be useful if FL does have an illegal minor stripper problem that this would try to solve (how do they enforce..by punishing the establishment?), but what's that saying...

You can forbid a 18 yr old Florida stripper to get out of the family trailer but you can't take the family trailer out of the 21 yr old Florida stripper.

A lot of those girls are molested, abused ect... There's absolutely nothing wrong with raising the age. Owning a gun is a different conversation but there's a lot of people who certainly shouldn't

I'm also fine with raising the age. Texas raised the age to 21 in 2021. Per this, the stripping age is 18 in most states, but 21 in WA, OR, CA, OK, LA, TX, OH, GA, and FL.

Here is a map of minimum ages for bartenders. In most states, you can show customers your junk at a younger age than when you can pull them a draught of beer. That's ridiculous.
