This is where I'm at too. We know Morey wanted to keep CP3, we know Harden wanted Westbrook, and Tilman was likely the tiebreaker. We know his "basketball ops team" (Morey and co) told him it wasn't a good trade, and he said do it anyway. They're both to blame.
Tilman is the one that created this situation 1) CP3 trade was on Him . Maybe 25 percent james , but 75 percent Tilman . B-ball ops did not want to make the move ... James was cool with that 2) not going into the LT any of the seasons in our window ... for fears of a repeater tax . 3) undermining his coach and team with “should have stepped on their throats” quote ... instead of b****ing about how the refs screwed us . this guy is all about his money and his prestige . He put a ****ing mural of his family Up in TC . Did Steve baller do that when he bought the clippers ? Seriously does any other owner have that in their arena ? I bet it’s still up. The b-ball ops page on rockets website too . worst of all , he’s not even a real gangster. A real hard SOB woulda helped us with the refs. Part of me hopes Tilman is just biding his time and planning a real revenge tour ... but the guy is so leveraged And corona effects his business so badly he might have to sell . at least Les had the trophies . Tilman wants ppl to shut up and listen but he is clearly an Ass . We are in the LT this season . Does anyone believe we will actually be there when it matters ? he wasn’t willing to pay to make marginal upgrades (or even just keep rotation guys ) when we had prime James and CP3 . Not patient enough to keep CP3 and forced a trade for WB because it’s more exciting . we aren’t fixing anything with the clown as the owner . We have to hope we get extraordinarily lucky
Like it or not, it's easier to get rid of a player that doesn't buy in rather than getting rid of an owner who is hellbent of ruining the franchise for the sake of "saving" money.
And that we can definitely agree on. I don't like it at all but we need everything we can get so that when we get to kick Tilman Fertitties we have a bunch load of assets for a good rebuild.
No offence, but Tilman just may have thought of this before the season, and tried his best. Clearly didn't work. Now, time for me to get some food - I'm currently out of cash, but can anyone lend me a few$$ against my car as security?
Asking Tilman to fix the team seems akin to using a drill to plug a leak...don’t have the greatest faith in him as an owner.
