I have been lifting for about 2 months now, any I have hit my plateau. I am currently loading up on proteins (healthy), and taje whey protein. I am seeing results but I was told that creatine enhances the muscle growth and boosts energy when doing reps.

Anyone currently taking creatine? I am leaning towards Micronized creatine, but unsure as it is something completely new to me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any website recommendations on purchasing would be great as well.

    Thanks in Advance!

I think creatine is over rated. It makes you look a little bigger because your muscles absorb water, and it helps with lifting more, but I think you can do the same just lifting normally. I find it hard to believe you can plateau in two months.

Well let me rephrase, I cannot get over a center weight and I have tried drop sets, and pyramid sets. And different type of excersices that work the same muscle but different position. I could be wrong in the term use, but in other words I am stuck at a center weight when bench pressing (I guess partly because I dont have a spotter all the time so I cant workout until muscle failure)

I just want something to help me get that extra push. I was reading up on it, and I read it provides energy(ATP) that helps push you to get more reps in.

Have you tried creatine? How often do you workout? Any pointers?

Then creatine won't help you. Does lifting 5-10 pound with a spotter mean that much to you.

i tried creatine in high school. i gained like 5-10 lbs in a week or two. everyone said i looked bigger than i ever did before (i didnt notice a big difference though).

three things happened when i took creatine:

1.) i never got tired from lifting. i could lift for hours before getting tired. that was kind of cool.
2.) i got alot of muscle cramps in my legs because creatine sucks all the water in your body to your muscles. you have to intake alot more fluids when taking creatine.
3.) my poo turned green and mushy.

creatine isn't that great because once you go off, you lose the weight again. i eventually stopped taking creatine because of the leg cramps. i had like 3 leg cramps in my sleep in 1 week and those things hurt like hell.

i recommend EAS Phosphagen if you do end up taking creatine.

Simple answer, I'll take it. I won't spend money on crap I don't need. I will just pushmyself harder. Not being sarcastic, but I needed this.

    Thanks!

If you've plateaued after 2 months you need to re-evaluate your program and your diet. You should still be making solid gains at this point.
