Really? Mine just went up over a freaking grand from what I paid last year. I have a friend in Katy who owns a home 3 times the size of mine home and lot wise and she pays a lot less on property taxes than I do. $3200 to HISD alone and I ain't got no damn kids. They be rapin' me blind.

it sure is a sellers market right now. people are paying the asking price and then some on houses! I offered 330 on a 325K home..and got denied. offered 200 on a 215k home and got beat by someone paying cash 215. now i am waiting to hear back on a 275K home. i offered 283.
