The year was 1961-2 (?) and I was about 7 years old.
There was also this other song that I am too busy to look up because of work at the moment. All I remember is some lyrics that went something like: "Look at all these rumors surrounding me every day" I will have to look it up to find out who the artist was and what the name of the song was as well.

You don't know what you're talking about. This goes beyond obscure. The version that made me LIKE music isn't available on youtube or anywhere else. I had a 45 rpm single of it when I was 4 years old, and I loved it. I did find this video. But please don't give me any crap about obscure hits not making you like music. If that's what someone heard that made them like music, they didn't care if it was obscure or not.
