My gut feeling is that Houston prefers to face SA and OKC would have preferred the aging Lakers. This means only one thing...if Houston can somehow take down OKC....it might be a nice slow downhill ride from there.

There have been statistical studies about this, and the statistics do not bear this out.

It's basically an old wive's tale, also known as bull*****.

    That's a no brainer!

Let Lin hit a few easy shots and wait for McHale to bench him.

I will be happy if we can steal one game from OKC.

The season is already over. It ended last night. We had two must win games and lost them both.

Any OKC vs Houston hype videos out yet?

Might as well get the popcorn ready. If anything, the 2-7 and 1-8 matchups are the ones people wanted to see. The old-guard against each other and the young-guns facing off.

In theory, both teams have equal chances to win the series.
In reality, a sweep is expected. Stealing one game will be considered a success and celebration.
You guess which team is which.

The summary of the series will be
"we didn't have ball movement and sticky".
You guess who will have said it.

I actually like this matchup since Thunder don't have big shot blockers. However Harden will probably try and do too much and shoot under 40%

With the Lakers averaging twice as less fouls than their opponents, it was inevitable that we would play the Thunder. They should give us the worst beating in the history of sports. That being said rockets in 4.

To those who voted for any of the last 4, I commend your faith and delusion.

based on our trend the past 3-4 games...

it's the playoffs against his old team, so harden will turn it up a notch in shot volume.

harden will average 30 pts on 25 shots.
the next highest avg. will be parsons at 12pt.
avg. of 10 assists between the two guards.
everyone else avg. in single digits.

    Rockets done in 4 games.

    1 win, I won't be surprised with 0-4, either.

Since I can't predict the future there is no facts and figures to support the idea that we were not expected to make the playoffs with Harden. But how often do you see the youngest team in the NBA with an entirely new constructed roster make the playoffs in it's first year, especially in a loaded Western conference? Also it's not like Harden was known as a legitamite superstar or even all star when the season started. He was a 6th man that most people would probably have not even considered all star caliber, many said he thrived due to Westbrook and Durant in OKC. His play this year proved that he was a leader and all star caliber player but nothing he's done prior to this year would have indicated this for sure. You may have been right about him being the type of player he is but there's no way prior to the start of this season anyone can say the Rockets are a sure fire playoff team this year simply because we acquired James Harden. In the East, possibly but not in the West.

Maybe one game, if parson, Harden and Lin all blaze from 3...otherwise I think it's going to be a sweep...

Also that game we on in the regular season, it's about as bad as i've seen KD play....
