I disagree that Biden should refuse more debates. The second date is a town hall format which is where he excels and where Trump will, again, flail: speaking with regular people. I'd bet on one of the pre-selected questioners having lost a family member to COVID (you know, "virtually nobody") and that being a moment where Biden's empathy shines through. Who was convinced to vote for Trump after that display last night that wasn't already onboard? Biden's best moments were when he looked at the camera, ignored the ogre and displayed understanding and leadership we've missed for four years. If Biden were to pull out of debates, Trump's goons would say it's because the big strong orangutan pummeled the old man into submission.

Agree. Townhall settings were normal citizens ask the questions is the worst time to go on attack mode. That's the time were you discuss your policies and what you are going to do to make lives better. Trump only excels at barking insults at Biden. It's going to make him look extremely petty if he uses the same tactic when normal citizens ask him questions.
