I'm curious to see how he does this. I think fact checking as in saying 'you're wrong' he might not do that but I can see him asking uncomfortable followup questions.

"Joe Biden, sleepy Joe as I call him. You know he is just a puppet for the radicals socialists and uh I love black men. Not black women because you know they are nasty but black men are good like Kanye" - Trump

"Mr. President I asked you what your view on the handling of COVID19 in a hypothetical second term." - Wallace

"Sleepy Joe has COVID, he will not take a drug test and is heavily medicated and -" - Trump

"Not so fast Jack. You sunofabitch! We can take this outside right now. Ask Corn Pop what happened when I threw a left." - Biden

"Gentlemen, Mr. Biden please refrain from making threats against Mr. Trump." - Wallace

"Trump? That chump? I'm saying I'll kick YOUR ass Wallace, with your snooty glasses and stares! Me and your old man used to chase the skirts all over the DC area. I helped your Dad bury many a dead hooker, I expect some God Damn respect Wallace." - Biden

"I freed all the black people from bondage and I expect to be compensated." - Trump

"Well that concludes the first debate.... God help us all...... seriously God help us all." - Wallace

This is what he has done in the past. He will ask carefully crafted questions that essentially have the facts in the question...... and if that fails, then we will see him ask a follow up question. Trump and Biden need to be careful attacking each other as well because Wallace has gone off script before and asked a follow up question that exposes the hypocrisy of the person attacking the other candidate.

The expectation for Trump is very low, so Biden needs to be careful to answer the questions fairly honestly, or at a minimum not come across as defensive because Wallace will shred him alive. The same is true of Trump but he has been confronted by Wallace before and he also is used to more hostile press coverage.

Totally agree. Biden can't get into a slug fest with Trump. If I'm one of Biden's advisers I would show him over and over again what happened to Jeb and Rubio when they tried to take on Trump with insults. I would also warn Biden about telling any stories except for the one's about him dealing with the loss of Beau and when his wife died and his children were near death. The worst thing I think that could happen is Biden get's into one of his meandering and embellished story that both Wallace takes apart. I expect Wallace to ask both candidates about how truthful they are.

At the same time is the risk for Biden like his early primary debates where he comes out too slow, cautious and says too little. Another one where he stops himself and say "I see my time is up" Trump will just pounce on.

There’s no point in a debate, especially without active fact checks. Most voters don’t watch them and it just gives Trump yet another opportunity to behave like the lying ******* his fans love.

Biden sometimes seems concerned with showing that he is still healthy and active and might respond to Trump's attacks with bravado and foolishness. Many here have already pointed that out.

What Biden needs to do is attack Trump, but not the person. Attack his policies and actions not Trump himself. Point out the crap he has pulled on military families, soldiers etc. Point out his lies about Mexico paying for the wall. Flip the script and challenge Trump on his blatant socialism. Challenge Trump on policies. Tell him to name specific policies positions of Biden's that are socialism. Challenge him to name any policy of his own or Biden's on almost any issue, and he will show two things.

    1. That Biden is mentally on top of his game.
    2. That Trump doesn't and is ignorant and pulling things out of his ass.

It won't change the mind of any Trump voters. It might help with some who feel that both are just as bad as the other.

The next thing Biden needs to do is keep talking about his plans and programs for his presidency. Show that he has a plan of what he wants to do for the nation and how it will help people.

It won't change the minds of any Trump voters. It will help sharpen the contrast between the two.

Doing this will show that Biden can stand up to Trump but also not take the bait of standing up to him in a stupid ineffective way.

Honestly, you guys think Biden is still holding up? If Joe attempted to work Mr Trump’s schedule, he would be dead in less than 2 days.

He can barely do his rehearsed political ads now, I saw them on YouTube all the times and he even screwed up the words in his ads and his people are either too lazy to fix it, or they just know Joe is shot and that’s the best Biden could do.

Whatever nootropics that they’re going to pump Biden full of, it’s better be long acting and don’t forget the old reliable B12 shot.

This is the second greatest fraud perpetrated against the American people, the first one was Obama.

You are right about the policy part, people want to hear about policy and not about personal attacks, unfortunately for you guys, Biden cannot remember anything to attack Mr Trump on. It is sad and comical at the same time.

For every question Biden should just say $750 dollars in taxes.

Yes I did and that was months ago. I also watched the entire Democratic primaries. Joe’s performance was very uneven. One thing that was consistent when I observed Joe as a trained physician is that he appeared frail and weak and a bit confused lots of times.

Bernie had a heart attack but he is still sharp, vibrant and energetic and his voice is still strong and clear, a good indication of health.

How many times we as the healthcare professionals have to tell you guys that Joe is not well?

You’re one of the biggest trump supporters on this board. No offense but it’s like letting you perform an autopsy of a victim that you’re accused of killing

Common bro, let’s be fair, Mr Trump is all over the country doing his rallies on top of his regular duties as the prez.

Neither the Access Hollywood tapes nor recording of his lies about the Trump virus led to the dotard's lowest approval rating ever, which was 36% in Dec 2017.

this low rating was the result of his passage of the largest tax cuts / loopholes ever for the top 1%
including the elimination of Alternative Minimum Tax.

in the debate and future campaign ads, Biden need to marry this and the recent disclosure based on Trump's tax returns that the dotard had paid $750 in income tax during his first 2 yr as POTUS.

Aren't his regular duties as president watching cable tv and signing EOs that he had little input in authoring? Oh and tweeting.

You do know how lacking in intellectual curiosity Trump is, unlike Obama, Trump doesn't go to bed with pages of intel briefings. He isn't a reader. He's a "gut" person.

for weeks Trump had been floating the idea that Biden should be drug-tested for the debate.
while Biden has not taken the bait, his campaign has offered a withering response.

“Vice President Biden intends to deliver his debate answers in words. If the president thinks his best case is made in urine he can have at it,”
said Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager.
“We’d expect nothing less from Donald Trump, who pissed away the chance to protect the lives of 200K Americans when he didn't make a plan to stop COVID-19.”
