Um, okay. The Rockets make the playoffs for the first time in five years. We're part of the NBA's glamour matchup. We're all excited, and I'm curious to see how many of us Rockets fans think we have a shot of winning the thing. Yes, of course we're all biased, but a poll helps get a read on the site's overall feeling about how the Rockets will do. Same reason we had polls before the season started about how many games we would win.

Would you prefer I started one of these threads?

    "Trade Francis!"
    "Yao's Overrated!"
"Who Would You Take: Yao or Hakeem?"
"I Saw Yao's Dad Picking His Nose!"

what's "stupider" is a person going from dumb straight to..*ahem*.."dumberer"

honestly, i think if the Rockets can go back to playing stifling defense that they were playing months ago they have a REALLY GOOD shot at taking this series. it's like what the Kings strategized/wished for: that the players not named oneal/kobe/malone/payton misses their shots. in all honesty, if you can shut down their supporting cast you have a shot.

    BUT.....

that all stems from the idea that the Rockets can/will shoot the lights out...something i haven't seen them done in a long time. basically all the rockets need is:

    1. Play great D
    2. shoot the lights out
    3. A prayer answered by God

2 out of 3 are doable.....it's just that shooting thing i'm not so sure about...

Here's what scares me. Shaq plays his best basketball in the playoffs. Except for his one terrific year when he won his first title, "My Dad says he never tries really hard. Except in the playoffs." Yao played Shaq to a standstill in the regular season. In the playoffs, though, Yao will see a different beast.

I can't believe half of the people polled went with the Luckers.

Come on, guys! I can't WAIT to beat those chumpies and watch them all cry when we send them to an early summer vacation.

What's worse? Being excited about your team going to the playoff's in the first time in 5 years? Or, being a total choad and complaining about every thread like your God watching over the damn BBS? Shut the hell up with YOUR stupid opinions about this post.

Or better yet, go to the Fakers site and revel in a 380 lb Neanderthal "basketball player" that can't shoot to save his life, a alleged rapist that can't stop licking his lips and two other smelly taints that are trying to pay for a ring with salary cuts.

I’ll ask you………..what’s wrong with Rocket fan’s being optimistic?

I can't tell this is a Rockets site. To me the vote should be 100 percent that Houston will win.

I vote for rox win @6.

I admit it is not totally objective. It is my dream:)

We get one of the games in LA, and one of them in Houston, then back to LA, we win game 5 (hopefully kobe is unavailable), and seal the series in game 6 at Houston.

We all know that the Rockets can beat any team when they play at their best, and that's all I need to know come playoff time. It's time to "BELIEVE" in Clutch City once again. :)

Hey, luckystriked, this is what I am talking about. I agree with cpt There should not even be poll about "who will win"... of course the ROX will WIN... i'm a devoted ROX fan and will never predict them to lose ANYTHING...

I don't whine about every thread... I let you know what type of fans are out there... bandwagoners... whiners... ym vs. sf... blah blah... whine whine...
