With a guy like Dwight would you want to be the first or last to talk him into signing with your team .....cause we all know he can change his mind 20 times before the night ends

Sloppy 2nds sucks. Go first and everyone else's presentations will fall short. And bring some cookies.

First. People lock onto the "flip flopper" label with Dwight, but I actually think the opposite is true. With the lone exception of the hasty opt-in at the March 2012 deadline, he's been remarkably stubborn through all of this. Most of the drama from last summer was because he refused to budge from his Brooklyn demand, even when it was obvious that the teams couldn't come to terms.

If you can make a strong pitch and put an idea he likes into his head... I think it'll be tough to break him.

Either way its first. Say you want to wife her up for at least 4 years. Do you want to do her first or last?

When you do her first you have a shot to wife it up before even seeing the other guys. When you're last you may not get a shot w/ her Bcuz she's already wifey some dude.

    Catch my drift?

    Two things:

    1) We are going first, but that won't be the only time the Rockets talk to him.
    2) History is measured by the current players primarily by the length of their careers and nothing else comes close. Nobody is going to the Wizards because the Bullets won a championship with Unseld and Hayes.

If you're not first you're last. Go first, set the bar so high that all of the other teams pitches cannot compete. It's just like doing a presentation when you were in school.

Nailed it. This label of flip flopper is manufactured by the media. The guy made one stupid mistake to opt in, and that had ramifications the following summer. He's not more or less of a flip flopper than the average player.
