We don't have to agree on her background, with the way I posed the question.

Also, my dad "made enough" for my mom to stay home. He worked as a delivery truck driver for Louis Shanks. My parents, seven older siblings, and myself lived in a three bedroom house in Denver Harbor. We had enough for food and clothes/shoes from Goodwill, Purple Heart, Salvation Army, etc.

In the 70s and early 80s, my father made enough in the Air Force to support us with my mother going to school full time. The standard of living hadn't exploded to make two incomes necessary by then.

But it's ok for CIndy to spend $300K? and for Palin to spend $150K of money from donors???

For the record, does anything you ever write mean anything?

Does the flash of a distant pulsar "mean" anything? Not really, but you can set your watch by it, with a little flash of radiation that is exactly the same each and every time. By studying the inner dynamics of a pulsar, you can learn something about the strange forces that shape the most distant, fringe objects in the universe.

    B-Bob,

Can I just say that you're awesome.

And shadypink, you are too. You're obviously an extremely intelligent young woman who has no problem arguing your positions with facts, logic, and passion. I'm sure you will go far in life.

I think you are just plain bitter about Obama being the President.

role model can be applied to a lot of people.. if a alot of people lookup or to emulate someone, then she's considered a rolemodel.. and to people who keep bringing them down saying she's not a rolemodel, thats just plain hatin'..
