I made one factual error. the second error you claim wasn't an error, and actually the way it was written, you shouldn't have made the error in comprehension.

here in lies the true stupidity. you're faulting michelle for sticking by and deferring to a husband because he could be president (a noble cause)

while totally giving not criticizing hillary for sticking by her husband who's an ass chaser (a non noble cause)

what did hillary do in arkansas. why do you think hillary moved around to ark for an ass chaser. here's a hint, what did she do this past year?

I don't care because what hillary did actually has nothing to do with michelle being a role model. that's just an element you brought to this discussion. I'm still harping on your idiotic logic that she's not a role model because she deferred to her husbands career, like he's some middle manager at xyz corp

OK now I get it. See here is the difference, Hillary did the campaign road the fund raising and then still had a law and political career (and a very smart child) Michelle did full time wife of a Senator. My mom never had a job so that is fine with me, but not a role model.

Here are the first three years

Again I have no problem with her and like her personally and her brother. I just do not see role model on her anywhere. Got a great education, married a future president. Well done, see girls, get a good degree and you too could marry a president. Role models do new things and breakdown barriers.

and here is hillary deferring, although I will say this, hillary definitely has used her husband's political career to her advancement.

I love how you conveniently ignore the fact that's she's a black woman who graduated from the nation's most prestigous law school. hey you made $300,000 a year, but you could have been doing so much more.

my how mighty high standards we have

it's easier to get in than get out of most of those elite schools, and I'd hate to speculate on how she got in

The 300K is fishy considering it came directly after his election.

Why is it harder for black women to graduate in 1988?

And that is just pure curiosity, I have all the respect for her expensive education, just don't think a role model uses it for 2 years.

    role model

    NOUN:

A person who serves as a model in a particular behavioral or social role for another person to emulate.

Actually, it added the meaning of the word "Role Model" to this discussion because you obviously don't know the meaning.

She attended Whitney Young High School, Chicago's first magnet high school, where she was on the honor roll four years, took advanced placement classes, was a member of the National Honor Society and served as student council treasurer.[2]

She graduated from high school in 1981 as salutatorian,[13][14] and went on to major in sociology and minor in African American studies at Princeton University, where she graduated c*m laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985.[2][15]

Seems like a role model to me.

Who cares about her freaking shoes.

If you got it, flaunt it.

fmullegun, my last post on this, your basic argument is that she isn't a role model because she hasn't maximized her law degree. that ignores all her acoomplishments in life. that's a ridiculous argument. she's accomplished more than me or you combined, and more than most people in life, she's married to the president (yes, that's saying something), and she has pretty nice family so far. who knows what the kids will do, but they are starting off alright.

your premise is ridiculouly narrow. role model doesn't mean maximizing your degree. if maximizing your degree were the criteria, she isn't a role model. I would say sarah palin is a role model, before being picked by senator mccain. and that includes her obvious lack of intelligence for the position she was put in. Why, because from where she's from, she did pretty well for herself. period. you took a ridiculous position and your going giddyup in refusing to admit its just wrong and stupid.

edit: had to add this, michelle was OBAMA'S MENTOR at the law firm you criticize her (as far as being a role model) for leaving for him. she did a pretty fine job wouldn't you say
